Too delicious to miss!

We went to this bistro on the advice of hotel staff as we were from out of town. From the moment we entered the front door until we left we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Service was impeccable; food was delicious; extensive wine list. Although dinner was more than I usually spend it was worth every... read more

Lamb Tartare cheese and meat plates are a must! The Lamb Tartare melts in your mouth. They are very generous with portions. They have a great beet and wine selection and an onsite sommelier. The place is very lively homey laid back and welcoming. Food was really really really good and the menu changes based on local availability. Great prices... More

This continues to be one of our favourite restaurants in Montreal. We love that it's in our neighbourhood and a short walk away. Most recently we were treated to a fantastic set menu for new year's eve (2nd sitting). We had requested seats at the bar because this is our favourite place to watch the action and interact with the... More

Five of us went for an early Saturday evening dinner before attending a Canadiens game. The menu was interesting and three of us really enjoyed our choices - two were underwhelmed. Friendly staff accommodated our need to order and eat within 60 minutes. While we couldn't linger we probably wouldn't have as the chairs were uncomfortable. Ambitious menu didn't really... More

Enjoyed the food and discovered a few specialties from Québec. The service is very quick and friendly, the atmosphere lively and pleasant. On a saturday night, the place was very busy and quite noisy, I guess to celebrate the spring weather... I will definitely go back and recommend it.

Another place I would like to revisit not for the fact that there are 4000+ restaurants in the Montreal area. Fantastic friendly service, food you will marvel with on decriptions to your friends.

Great selection of oysters from both coasts. The appetizers alone are enough for a meal. Each one is quite unique and the menu is modified frequently. Plus they had a great selection of bottled and draft beer. Notables on tap include Dunham Brasserie and Shawinigan's Le Trou du diable.

We liked the food and it was delicious but unfortunately we were still hungry afterwards! Went to a supermarket after dinner to buy some snacks. Also, it was fairly expensive, which would have been okay as the quality was good if it would have been enough. Personnel was very friendly and helpful!

One of friends recommended La Salle a Manger as a must do in Montreal. It did not disappoint. The rabbit, smoked pork hoc soup, and scallop/oyster plate were amazing. Wine pairing and service were top notch. Wish you folks were in my back yard. Keep up the good work.

Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

Neighborhood Profile
Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colorful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.
