Some of the best crepes I have ever had. Really enjoyed my crepe and so did my son. Will be back for sure if I'm ever back in town.

I do not know if this place had the best fondue and I am pretty sure they were not outstanding crepes but both worked and we were satisfied when we left. This is a pretty large restaurant for Montreal and the kitchen must be a factory style. They get 4 stars because they had both items and did a good... More

There were 4 of us that had brunch here. I wish we could have gone for dinner as the fondue looked amazing. Three of us had crepes while one had sandwich and soup. All were delicious. They also have specialty coffees. The server was nice and spoke English. There was a loud vibrating / humming noise coming from somewhere while... More

This is my go-to restaurant for special occasions, whenever we're going out for an especially nice dinner. We get the Table d'Hote Trio Fondue, which I would highly recommend. The price is very reasonable and the service has ranged between okay and excellent.

My husband and I splurged on the fondue set for two since we were on vacation and it was our anniversary. The food was excellent, particularly the Crepe Suzette we had for dessert. The restaurant also had a lot of specialty drinks that looked very good. Service was great. We would definitely go back.

We stopped in for lunch while in Old Montreal. This place has three levels and every table was filled when we were there. The menu is large with soups, salads, quiches, sandwiches, crepes and other dishes. I loved my French Onion Soup and Quebecois crepe (ham and swiss cheese), with my hot apple and cassis cider. My husband had the... More

My boyfriend and I just ate lunch here. It was fine but not anything amazing. The salad was better than our crepes. Also, this may sound random, but the music they play inside is pretty depressing!

We stopped on a snowy day to try the fondue and crepes. We decided on the Swiss cheese fondue and the asparagus, ham and cheese crepe, with two ice cold beers. The service was great, very engaging and helpful. Our server chose an awesome beer for us and it worked nicely with our order. The food was very good, as... More

Stopped for a late lunch and received fast service. The French onion soup, crepes and quiche arrived quickly and were very hot. All were delicious. We sat at a table on the ground level which felt intimate as there are not very many tables on this level. They were not busy at the time we were there. The restrooms and... More

Came to Chex Suzette on a recommendation and we were not disappointed. The crepes were delicious and the service excellent. Merci Pedro!

Staying in Vieux-Montreal (Old Montreal)

Neighborhood Profile
Vieux-Montreal (Old Montreal)
The historic center of Montreal, Vieux-Port is home to some of the city's most antiquated buildings and picturesque streets. Along the waters of the St. Lawrence River, the bank of Old Port features museums, festivals, food stalls, and outdoor athletics, a celebrated part of the city that explodes into fireworks displays on warm summer nights. At its center, street performers and artists compete with sprawling restaurant terraces for space along Jacques-Cartier Square, while the cobbled streets of Rue St. Paul and Rue Notre-Dame offer a reprieve of quiet galleries and atmospheric wine bars. Horse-drawn carriages are not an uncommon part of traffic, and the narrows they traverse are lined with boutiques, crêperies, and poutine shops enshrined in buildings of stone and wooden lattices. Here you can evoke Montreal's past with a traditional cooking lesson or historical tour, then enjoy its artistic present with live music and theater.
