This was some great curry. Had the tika masala. Wife had a sampler of vegetarian, daughter-in-law had a sampler, son had something that was very spicy. I thought it was just right. Yes they do Italian cuisine. Quirky, yes! fine dining but not overly expensive. Staff was excellent. Must try.

I go there very often as I'm a subscriber to La Licorne Theatre which is just across the street. Therefore, everytime I have a play to go to, I have dinner at Sandhu. It is more than a Pizzeria as they also specialize in Indian cuisine. I haven't tried it yet because I always end up having a mushroom pizza... More

We ordered on a Sunday evening, a pizza and large fries. Delivery got to us an hour later (2.6 km away) and order was not complete. Pizza had no bacon and fries were a size too small.

They have a Midi Express Meal Deal at $10.95 which was delicious. We tried the chicken madras and chicken Tikka. Served with rice, Naan Bread, indian veggies plate and fried veggie croquettes..(sorry I do not remember the name). Service was great. Our waitress was amazing and meals were served fast. We shall return.

With their Indian and Italian chef, they prepare decent Indian and amazing Italian food. The good thing about their Italian is they don't have blend pizza and they are so cheesy,, yummy! And they have oven baked thin crust crisp pizza.. Mouth Melting.. They have a huge collection of Vines.. including few Italian. I did not like their Pasta though... More

Very strange experience here, I found the menu a weird con-fusion between Italian and Indian. I wanted a pizza - they had no idea what 'margarita pizza' was and the pizza I received was a mess of cheese and grease and undercooked thick crusted soggy bread. A pepperoni pizza had piles of pepperoni soggily layered underneath thick , processed mozzarella.... More

Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

Neighborhood Profile
Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colorful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.
