Took my mother to Liverpool House as a treat. The service is extremely warm and friendly. The atmosphere is cozy. It is very busy, but it doesn't feel like it. The staff are extremely knowledgeable, everyone offered suggestions and answered our questions. We ordered a Greek white wine, which perfectly paired with our meals. (Liked it so much, went to... Cheers to Chef , Carmelina, and Chris for a night to remember . The specially prepared black sea bass brought a tear to our eyes . Everything from the salad to the steak was exactly as we hoped for . What was unexpected was the quality and personality of the service . The folks behind the Joe Beef empire should... More

I think if I lived in Montreal, or at least closer, I would make a reservation for this place every few months. Joe Beef and the Liverpool House were names I kept hearing over and over every time I mentioned an upcoming Montreal trip to someone. So, even after the reservation was made I had to wonder what the experience... More

Good food but our high expectations were deflated in a poorly lit venue with a limited but tasty offering. Plenty of scope to improve their knowledge and pricing of wine.

On a weekend trip to Montreal, we had dinner at the Liverpool House and it was just one of the best dinner experiences. The place is small and it gets packed fast, so make sure you make reservation. We did not and happened to get 3 chairs at the end of the night at the bar.Luckily we agreed and as soon... More

I ate at Liverpool House with two other people. Overall it was a good experience. Trendy spot, cool concept, good wine list. The three of us split a nice cut of steak and a whole fish, with some veggie sides and a bottle of wine. Everything was really good, but just found it to be a bit expensive for what... More

The restaurant is small, if full of people ,you'll feel like in a bus, but the decorations are nice, good service, try the lobster. Good wine selection.Acceptable prices.

The atmosphere with intimate spacing. The aesthetics is warm with effortless charm and if the place is filled up it is noisy, but fun. The menu is written on a chalkboard on the wall but unlike others places they gave us paper menus. the food was great and a large portion. The staff is fantastic.

Staying in Le Sud-Ouest (Southwest District)

Neighborhood Profile
Le Sud-Ouest (Southwest District)
Once the core of industrialized Montreal, the factories and historic buildings of Le Sud-Ouest have been renovated into homes, museums, and small businesses. The rejuvenated landscape has put its Saint-Henri district in vogue, with cutting-edge galleries and an ever-expanding network of restaurants. Foodies can especially delight in the mom-and-pop shops in Little Burgundy, or at the Atwater Market, where outdoor stalls sell fresh fruit, vegetables, and meat, street vendors have menus of hot fish and wine, and the indoor market offers chocolate, breads, and coffee beans. Dominated by the gentle waters of the Lachine Canal, Le Sud-Ouest is still very much an outdoor town, with a number of pedestrian-only bridges traversing the waters, bike paths along the canal with views of the Leisure Boats, and massive green spaces like Angrignon Park to stop for a picnic, or to play a sport.
