I stopped here to have breakfast. Lucky enough there was still one seat left as soon as I got there the line started to build. the place is really cute and makes you want to buy everything that is on the shelves. Staff were really friendly. Food was amazing, I had the yogurt and fruit plus a brioche with pecan...... More

My wife and I visited for lunch before touring Old Montreal and Old Port for the afternoon. We enjoyed the perfect lunch! A short ten minute wait as it was noon and all of montreal seems to enjoy eating lunch out. Upon arriving at the table service was prompt and we had two iced coffees with milk, nice and bold... After reading about the amazing reviews for o+g, we checked it out at 10am on a Tuesday for brunch. The line was not too long unlike what we expected which was nice and we managed to get a table 20 minutes in. The menu was a bit confusing as they have a board with their menu items but most of... We waited an hour to eat here and we did not regret it. We each enjoyed a sandwich, The Majestic and Mr. Miami accompanied by juice drinks. The Majestic is a foot long bacon/cheddar sausage with Apple slaw, pickled corn and jalepenos on a toasted NE style bun. Mr. Miami is a hot panini of smoked brisket, onion, cilantro pesto,... More

Brunch at O&G completely brightened a rainy Montreal Sunday afternoon. Crowded, of course, but the staff did their best to seat us quickly and it was well worth the short wait. My wife and daughter each had (and loved) the Cuban sandwich. I had the Poached Egg Coquille with chorizo which was wonderful--a fascinating mix of flavors and spices that... More

We had a really hard time finding a decent place for croissants in Old Montreal- most were on the other side of town- but this! This one stood out and was fantastic!! Definitely get there at opening b/c it fills up FAST, but service is very friendly. Many reviewers have complained about the speed and yes, it's not the fastest... More

Sunday Brunch is great but very busy. Went around 10:30 had to wait around 40 minutes. It was well worth it. Coffee is great. Also had the French Toast, which was giant and awesome (but don't order it for your kids, it for adults). There is also a take away counter if you don't have the patience. Atmosphere is a... More

Only got pastries as take out since we didn't have the time to wait 1 hour ++ for brunch! The food looked delicious and the croissants were to die for! The cheese one was flakey and the cheese was nicely melted in. The fruit tart was also very tasty! We had the almond croissant which was amazing as well -... More

Staying in Vieux-Montreal (Old Montreal)

Neighborhood Profile
Vieux-Montreal (Old Montreal)
The historic center of Montreal, Vieux-Port is home to some of the city's most antiquated buildings and picturesque streets. Along the waters of the St. Lawrence River, the bank of Old Port features museums, festivals, food stalls, and outdoor athletics, a celebrated part of the city that explodes into fireworks displays on warm summer nights. At its center, street performers and artists compete with sprawling restaurant terraces for space along Jacques-Cartier Square, while the cobbled streets of Rue St. Paul and Rue Notre-Dame offer a reprieve of quiet galleries and atmospheric wine bars. Horse-drawn carriages are not an uncommon part of traffic, and the narrows they traverse are lined with boutiques, crêperies, and poutine shops enshrined in buildings of stone and wooden lattices. Here you can evoke Montreal's past with a traditional cooking lesson or historical tour, then enjoy its artistic present with live music and theater.
