Exceptional experience. Steven was our server he is one of the best servers! Loves his job and very informative makes you feel super comfortable. We were outside on the patio. This place is a must! Do not miss the opportunity to enjoy this restaurant. The tuna was awesome. Ambiance is fantastic. Great local lager. Laura is a great waitress!
We spent a week touring around Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island. When staying in Charlottetown just up the street, we were put on the dinner reservation wait list and were so happy to have our reservation confirmed. Our meals, including appetizers, drinks and entrees,...unquestionably constituted our finest dining experience in an entire week of mostly high-end restaurants.More
Great restaurant with great service. The food was excellent and the outdoor patio was nicely done with blankets and heaters.
We stopped here with another couple before a show. It was a wonderful experience, cool ecclectic atmosphere, servers have fun, food was delicious, would definitely return.
We went for lunch, had the chicken pot pie and the chicken sandwich. Everything was tasty. My only suggestion would be to give a smaller portion of the chicken pot pie (2 instead of 3 rolls) but add a salad next to it. It was...too much of the same taste after a while and a vinegary salad would have been a great addition to that plate in terms of flavours. The chicken sandwich was a very well balanced plate with a delicious side salad.More
Received a very strong recommendation to eat at this restaurant from local friends. The atmosphere is in keeping with it circus and carnie roots. The server had no problems making substitutions with our orders and everything was so delicious. Didn't have any room for dessert...unfortunately, but the crab cake appetizers and the lobster burger and salad me up. Delicious.More
We were attracted to this place because of some unique menu options, and it did not disappoint! We enjoyed brunch on the patio outside. We ordered eggs with cumin cream, an egg and potato spicy skillet, and a chicken pot pie, and then tacked on...the granola with yogurt and line curd. The food and service were both excellent. We'd highly recommend it!More
We made reservations to sit at the bar and so glad we did and not at a table. This is mainly because of the bartender, who was awesome! He was super nice and he can make some amazing drinks! It was a pleasure watching him...at his craft. The service was rest from servers and a guy we think was a manager. The food was delicious as well...specifically this avocado mushroom app we got - so surprising and yummy!More
Great service as soon as we walked through the door! Seated promptly, drink order recommendations when we were handed the menu (love the 'secret' wine list - fun!) and lots of tasty options. We had wine, a couple General Scotts, crab cakes, haddock and halibut...dinners. Five star meal. Can't wait to go back.More
We were thrilled to have a reservation at this restaurant, we weren’t disappointed once seated and served. It was challenging making a choice on what to eat, so many delicious meal descriptions. Our server was knowledgeable & friendly. It was a highlight of our visit.
If you’re travelling alone and want to feel invisible and irrelevant, this is the place for you. I travel with my work and eat out a lot. Popped in to grab a seat at the bar for a drink and a bite. The gentleman who...seated me informed me that he “had to have me out by 7”. I arrived at 5:20pm. Lots of time. Ordered a glass of wine and tried to stay out of the way, as my barstool was in the path of the staff and seemed to be one to many for that space. I couldn’t finish my wine fast enough. Made to feel unwelcome, I walked down the street to SIMS where I was treated professionally, had a wonderful experience and meal. SLAYMAKERS came highly recommended as locally sourced fantastic fare. Clearly, they have risen to a level that no longer requires good customer relations. Boo SLAYMAKERS. Never again.More
Stunning chic restaurant/cocktail bar vibes, great variety and delicious food. Portion sizes are generous, recommend booking in advance.
Went to Slaymaker and Nichols for their now famous Brunch. Unique and interesting selection of breakfast fare. I had Eggs Benedict on Crab cakes with pan fried potatoes and a kale vinaigrette salad. Food was amazing and wait staff were pleasant, efficient and attentive. Will...definitely come here again for Brunch.More
