I have a lot of food sensitivities and struggled on a cruise from Boston to Nova Scotia to find anything enjoyable to eat for the entire week. On a stop in Charlottetown, I stopped with a friend at the Cork and Cask on Victoria Row for lunch. I told the waiter about my situation and he assured me that I would have options but he wanted to speak with the chef. Not only did he speak with her (chef/owner), she actually came out to find out what I needed and offered me a beautiful fresh fish option that was truely delicous. It was the best meal I had eaten in a very long. Unfortunately, I did not get her name (husband/owner is bartender) but Brava! to you and your restaurant. Go visit, you won't regret it.

Great food and friendly, good service. Nice to sit outside on a floating dock. We had the mussels for an appetizer which were just ok.
I had the grilled haddock which was excellent and a large portion. My husband had the shrimp and scallops skewer which was perfectly cooked and a nice sauce. We would come back.

A Wonderful Evening at Cork and Cast
Having been recommended the restaurant by friends who regularly visit PEI we were not disappointed. 11/10 was our rating. A unique setting on the water we had excellent service, a wonderful meal at a moderate price.
My wife and I shared a magnificent smoked salmon platter to start. Our main meals of a seafood kebab of prawns and scallops and the haddock meal could not be faulted. Cooked to perfection and served hot without being rushed plus a half carafe of Pinot Grigio it was a memorable evening for all the right reasons.
Congratulations to the team who strive to make everyone’s evening enjoyable.

Great location on Victoria Row where all the music happens but both service and food were lacking Of the 4 dinners tonight only one person was pleased and cleaned her plate. The other 3 people all agreed this place was officially off our list of top spots. The oysters were woefully small and overpriced. The $24 hamburger was a frozen thin patty. — not freshly made burger you’d expect for this price—-it was a McDonald’s burger on a fancy bun. The Cole slaw side was not anything that resembled Cole slaw — was pickled cabbage but billed as Cole slaw on the menu. Big disappointment. Caesar salad was a reasonably facsimile of what it should but without the anchovies. By reading the menu you have an expectation of what your meal should be but what you are going to get is the owners version of that menu item. She admits to putting her own spin on what is served there. I just know after spending the last 5 summers in Charlottetown that this venture will fail with the level of competition that exists in the restaurant. Business here. So many great places with fine reputations and equally fine food. By skipping over this one you will thank me for offering an honest opinion. Once will be enough to give the place a try and move on.

My wife and I had a lovely evening at this restaurant. The food was outstanding, the service was excellent and the owner Rachel was delightful. We had the smoked salmon starter with cream cheese, pickled red onion and capers and it was so tasty. The beet salad was great but for me the highlight was the steak sammy with garlic mashed potatoes. Possibly the best I’ve ever had. Portions are very generous and prices reasonable.

A True PEI CAN'T Miss! To say this place is amazing is a HUGE understatement. We came for the Happy Hour but stayed much longer. The oysters were a thing of perfection, with a craft mignonette and cocktail sauce, but the real gem was the seafood chowder. I have been around the world and love my chowder, but this was so much more. The flourless bisque allowed the seafood and butter to shine with an amazing Zing of garlic. The gym plus pink cocktails perfectly offset everything we have. If you come to Prince Edward Island and you skip this place, you are missing out.

Took my mother here for dinner. Her seafood chowder had barely any fish in it. Maybe two tiny scallops and a little haddock. Ridiculous. When we told the waiter he responded with on that's not usually the case. Mt fish tacos had no taste

We made a reservation based on the stellar reviews. Our mouths watered for PEI mussels for months but were gravely disappointed. The mussels were rather small and pale and were not the robustly plump and orange-colored ones we’ve had multiple times throughout the world. The local oysters were superb as was the local beer. According to the locals there are better places to get mussels. So I give it 3 stars to average out our experience.

2023 The Cork and Cast waterfront restaurant is located by the Charlottetown Marina. It can be overlooked as Cork and Cast is on the eastern end of Confederation Landing. On cruise ship days, it does get bombarded with customers.
We thought having a table by the water is quite relaxing. We came not just once, but on two occasions. The service was everything friendly and prompt.
A young couple purchased this restaurant a few years ago. Their recipe for mussels is homemade, and quite delicious. We liked the combination of clams and mussels.
The six Cajun shrimp are fresh and tasty. I wished I had asked for more Cajun seasoning though.
The soup is homemade from scratch and getting a sample is out of the question.
The Caesar Cocktail is excellent at Cork & Cast. We loved the extra celery salt around the rim.
The Cork and Cast became our favorite restaurant is our short stay in Charlottetown. This restaurant is well worth five stars. If you found this review to be valuable in any way, please press “Thumbs-up” to let me know.

Booked a reservation for my family birthday dinner @7, my parents went for 7 but my partner works so we didn’t get there until 7:45. We got there and the owner was speaking to my family saying we needed to put orders in now cause the kitchens closing at 8. If you close at 8 shouldn’t you take orders up until 8?
I didn’t even have a chance to look at the menu, they gave us 1 minute and then we had to put our order in.
I felt so rushed and didn’t really get to enjoy the setting as it is a good concept to have a floating restaurant.
I do work in the restaurant industry and my parents ran a restaurant so we can understand it’s a long day in the kitchen, but when the OWNER comes out to complain and rudely tells us if we don’t put our order in in the next 2 minutes they can not serve us.
It was 7:52???????
This experience left a very very bad taste in my mouth.
The server was very apologetic and embarrassed of the situation, she gave me a free brownie & ice cream but what we experienced we would NEVER do this to any customer.

The Cork & Cast
False.
The moral of the story is your party was late for the reservation. Due to a dispute between your daughter and her bf? Over an hour late. Your reservation was for 645, not 7. In a world where everyone is short staffed, and doing the best they can. Working in 30+ degree restaurant does lead to long days when we are as busy as we are. Full all day long. Our full menu is available from 1130-8. To come on here and leave a 1 star review is petty.
We did not come out to complain, we came out to figure out as to why you and your party were over an hour late for a reservation. As for the brownie, it was actually the owners idea to send that out. Thanks for the 1 Star, see you in Lunenburg.

Dropped in on a Saturday night with no reservations and I’m so glad we did. Waited about 5 minutes for a table right on the rail - can’t get more waterfront than that. The service was great, very friendly, and the food was amazing. It was my first visit to PEI, and I was determined to try a lobster roll & paired it with Ceaser salad and the flat top potatoes. I live a few provinces away, but that won’t keep me from being a repeat customer - can’t wait for my next visit. So glad we stumbled across this wonderful restaurant. The only downside is my new favourite restaurant is 1600 kms away.

Overall, the experience was great and service was good until the end where we had to wait for long period of time. The food was fresh; we had grilled cheese for the girls, I got a lobster roll platter, Greek salad meal.
Minor complaint was that their Caesar was missing something.

We had a wonderful meal in a beautiful setting at this lovely place. It was our first time to PEI and Charlottetown. When you travel it's sometimes hit or miss at unfamiliar restaurants but this one was a hit! We had fresh fish tacos and they were delicious. Totally recommend this place!

Went with 4 adults and 2 children. This is a floating restaurant on a wharf . The owners greeted us when we arrived and had a table ready for us . The food was delicious I had a haddock fish taco and Caesar salad and it was the best fish taco I have ever had ( pieces of actual haddock not battered or deep fried ) . The children’s menu had large portions as well . My son had a bowl of fish chowder and a mini lobster roll these were all perfect lunch size portions .
If you get a chance to take in this authentic little restaurant do so ! You won’t be disappointed.

Our reservation was at 6 for 6 of us. We were greeted by a very nice host. He seated us and a nice young man waited on us. We brought us a nice bottle of water. We asked to move to a back table out of the sun as it was blinding and we were outside with. no way to block it The young man went to check with someone. He came back and said it was OK. We moved. 5 minutes later the owner came out
and loudly told us we had to move back. He His voice was so loud that everyone in the restaurant went silent and looked at us. He kept talking loudly and said The waiter didn't check and should not have put us there, there was another reservation at 6:30. My sister asked if they could sit at the other table. He loudly proclaimed no he needed 2 tables. I stood up and told him in a quiet voice you are talking awfully loud. He said I DON'T MIND. Everyone was still silent and staring. We minded we left. If he had just leaned over and asked in a respectful voice please move back I need this table for a larger group we would have happily moved. He was awful to us and his young waiter.
