I've been to Bar1911 a couple of times now. It's a wonderful place to be. It's got the type of hipster aesthetic that a lot of these types of places strive for, but without any of the pretentiousness. (And they're dealing with COvid-19 beautifully from...what I've seen!) Pre covid-19, I recall them making a commitment to try and go zero waste. That's likely partially on hold, but it is still very low waste, and they are working hard and well. They have a selection from a local tea maker and I also believe all their beers are too, and I reckon a large amount of their food is locally sourced as well (not that I have anything to actually back up this claim). The staff are immensely attentive. I was given an extra plate unprompted, for my tea bag, so my tea wouldn't over-steep. When I had a coughing fit from swallowing weird, staff was beside me with some water before I had a chance to ask them for one. (FYI, the staff always seem really happy, which is a good sign!) I also enjoyed the food very much. Most recently I had the "Morning Show," which is a breakfast sandwich- very flavorful but no one flavour overpowered the others. My SO commented that he very much enjoyed the "No. 6," a chicken burger.More

I've been meaning to post this for a while now. I have been a regular of Bar1911 since it opened a couple years ago. If you're looking for a wonderful little cafe/bar to meet for lunch, study, or just hangout, this is your place. I...am here usually once a week to study and I sit up at the bar. Staff are extremely friendly and accommodating. Being a regular has it's perks as well, as some staff have my order memorized. It's a nice feeling to be remembered. Staff are also very respectful of my studying, but also provide a compelling conversation when I am not. A great sign of quality service. Bar1911 also has a wonderful selection of alcoholic beverages, supporting only local breweries, as well as a vast majority of cafe style beverages for you caffeine enthusiasts out there. The menu is comprised of many different options to appeal to all, I highly recommend "The Ploughman's Sandwich" a very delicious ham sandwich with fresh veggies and made on a delicious bread. The only bad experience I have had at this establishment has been when my seat at the bar was taken, due to the popularity of the place. This place will always be my highest rated place in Charlottetown for studying/hangout purposes. Lastly, know that table service does not start until the evening. Not a big deal by any means, but being a fly on the wall for the past couple years I have noticed people are confused by this system.More

The service that I get each and every time I go here is exactly what keeps me coming back. Of course the coffee is the best, but there is truly nothing better than being greeted by a "Good Morning, having the usual today?" that is...going above and beyond. Thanks so much to Ben and all his amazing staff!More

Dropped in for a drink at lunch time. Excellent service and a pleasant spot on the way back from Ardgowan House. Otherwise a bit distant from the old town

This has become my all time favourite drop in coffee shop. Inviting and cozy atmosphere with fantastic drip coffee. (All kinds of methods available.) London Fog tea (tea latte) is superb. Service is friendly. It is absolutely worth bypassing having a coffee passed to me...through a window at the drive through and stopping in - either to relax for a bit, or to pick up a coffee to go.More

Stopped in for a drink with friends on a whim. Excellent atmosphere and selection of craft beer. Great spot to hang with friends and have a beverage or two.

Was curious to tey this place when it opened, especially since it was close to my home. So many tap beers and rather high prices. The menu did not look particularly appetizing. It was very small, which can be very good but this menu just,...in my opinion, did not really offer a diverse and interesting array of beer foods. And this place seems to attempt to be a hipster craft beer joint. Honestly, it almost looks like a front for the video lottery terminals hiding around the corner. Wouldn't come back.More
