Dropped in Sun eve, not sure what we were expecting, ordered the bangers and mash, great comfort food and they have Newcastle Brown Ale on tap, Nirvana!

If you want to experience where the locals hang out then this is the place to go. There is nothing fancy about this place which makes the place perfect for hanging out with friends and grabbing a few cold ones. They have a good selection of beer on tap and enough bottles to configure just about any mixed drink. I... More

Charming local bar, where regulars meet to eat and buy drinks for the house. Many university students are found there taking a break. Great time during St Patty's Day too!!!

Went to the bar this past weekend to attend a party that was being held there. Only had a $100 bill in my wallet which I used to buy TWO pints. When I got home, found that the bartender only gave me $65 back. Error on my part for not counting my change. Went back to the bar and the... More

Having stopped by a few times for drinks and the occasional bite to eat, I can say before walking in that you should expect your experience to be exactly what looking at the exterior of the building suggests: old, dated and dingy, however somewhat historic. If you're looking for a gourmet meal and fancy drinks, look elsewhere. If you're looking... More

I have been here for drinks only in the past and a quick stop recently while hungry made my partner and I decide to order some food. While this was only one experience, both of our orders were not pleasant and we are generally not difficult to please. I am not sure about other menu items but the fish and... More

I have been here a few times and have never been disappointed in the food. The quality is great and the taste also really good. Stopped in for lunch on a Thursday afternoon. Homemade split pea and ham soup with a short rib hoagie. $8.99 special. The amount we got was huge. The service was great and the beer was... More

I use to frequent this place quite often, and moved away in 2001. My wife and I just returned, and it was a "must go" to place. WOW! Has it ever changed. We arrived on a Tuesday, at noon. Only one other couple were in the restaurant! It was dirty, and the service was VERY slow. The food was horrible,... More

Went for lunch last week. We had time before we had to be someplace on the west side, so we stopped in. I had not been there for a couple of years, but nothing changed. The server was attentive and took our orders promptly. Our lunch arrived and we felt it was very good. We should not wait another couple... More
