We walked about 3/4 mile to get to the Distillery District for a day of exploring, so I was tired and needed a snack and a sit. We wandered into the Mill Street Brew Pub on a whim and it turned out to be a brilliant idea. My husband and I each ordered a flight of beers to taste---the server... More

We tried to book a table online for St. Paddy's day and unfortunately it showed no tables available for that night. My wife decided to call the Pub directly on the off chance that we might get a table. The person who answered the phone couldn't have been more accommodating and he managed to get us a table for that... More

Ate here late Sunday afternoon. A really buzzing atmosphere. Staff were attentive and really knowledgable about the beers on offer. We had the Sunday roast and the rib of beef was the best I've tasted. Huge portions too. I would certainly recommend drinking and eating here if visiting the distillery district.

Located at the heart of the Distillery District the Mill Street Brew Pub is hopping on a Tuesday night. Great atmosphere, the bar area is a bit tight but overall restaurant has a cozy feel. Spinach dip comes with tortilla chips and grilled naan, great appetizer. Beef dip was terrific, lots of beef, a fresh baguette and the horseradish mayo... More

and expect to get a decent brunch here. It's my fault really. It's a bar. That is all. The beer is very nice. I'm convinced they knew that it was bad. I was with a group and no one was really enjoying anything and they sent someone over to ask how everything was and no one really responded. We should... More

Burger must have been 4:" high, loaded with crispy fried onions and sauteed peppers, jack cheese, tomato and onion, fries were fresh. Corned beef as also stacked, coldslaw and a dill pickle which was the size of a... More

We had a set menu to choose from and it had an ample selection of choices. I had the grouper and it was excellent. It's a good place for friends to get together, a little noisy. The area is so interesting around it.

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
