Have been there a number of times and the food is always fantastic! The Panner, Rice, and Butter Chicken is to die for. Excellent service and fair prices. Best Indian food in west Toronto.

I had a quick late dinner, at that time the restaurant was almost empty.
Food was of good level. portions were quite big, so I took away what was left.
Service was friendly. A good standard.

We have ordered from North Of Bombay a few times and every single time it is AMAZING!
The quality of the food is absolutely fantastic!
The portion sizes are PERFECT and the service is just brilliant.
We only buy take out from this restaurant because we know it's going to be a delicious, home-style cooked meal.

Was called a B*tch by the staff for complaining about missing item. Staff was very rude and the manger told me I deserved because I mad the chef mad. All I wanted was the items that I paid for. Will never eat her again and do not recommend this place.
There are far better Indian places in the area where the staff are polite and friendly.

I am responding to you which I have already done on Facebook with you and had sorted out. You have claimed the refund from Door Dash instead of $6.50, $16.50 which was wrong.
No businesses disrespect their customers unless a disturbance to their operation. If you call the restaurant and address a missing item should be resolved instantly instead of saying you received a wrong order and misbehaved and threatening the staff to destroy our name which is unacceptable.
When you write a review it clearly shows the incomplete story and I think you have a lot of free time to call authorities sending the Health Inspector over even though they know it was a fake call but they do their duty. and find everything is in a perfect manner operation. We are in business since 1989 and a lot of regular customers for over 30 years. We love everyone but deserve our self-respect.

This place is a gem! It is a must go-to! My all time favourite Indian food when I lived in the area. Now we drive across town because the place near us can't compare. The food is always fresh and yummy, perfectly spiced and beautifully presented. The staff are always friendly. I remember the restaurant from before the renovations and really, this place is like a fine wine.... only better with age. Every time we go Amar makes us feel like we are the most special family in the room. I have to say, I also love the order online and timed pick-up too!!!

We have enjoyed both take out service and table service at North of Bombay and have always been pleased. The wait staff was very friendly.

I eat Indian food in Toronto a lot and have nothing bad to say about North of Bombay. We ordered Butter Chicken, Chicken Vindaloo, Mango Chutney, Garlic Naan and some rice. The rice was an afterthought because the sauces were so delicious! We had enough food to take home. The spicing was just right - actually the butter chicken was spicier than expected but we like a little kick so that was good. The only fault was that the garlic naan was not very garlicky.
The waitress was very friendly, even chatty, and helped us with keeping coriander off of our plates - much appreciated.
And there are no televisions, thank goodness! So many places ruin their atmosphere by putting those in - North of Bombay is nicely old school and nicely decorated.
Highly recommended. For some reason they were nearly deserted on a Friday night - they deserve better.

Went here for dinner. Nice atmosphere, great service, but the food was really disappointing. The saag chicken looked like it was made with canned, puréed spinach, and was otherwise tasteless. The chicken in the dish was dry. The 'naan' was not actual naan, it was (or at least strongly resembled) store-bought paratha that had been heated up...not the bread that's made in the tandoori oven. Pretty enough place, but we won't be coming back.

Thanks for your Feedback. I am very surprised to know that you felt what you have said. When we prepare our food on a daily basis. We do all the cooking Day time daily if you know Indian food prep is hours of cooking. That's why we open in the evenings for dinners only. The spinach is a fresh leafy we use never use any cans and it is always very green but cans will never be ever green. All the Nans are made in the order from a fresh dough.
It is always a good practice to let the staff know on your disappointment so we can clear your doubts right there. If we don't listen or help you out then you have right to take further steps.

We tried 5 different dishes and all of them were like i know them and good. We could choose how hot or spicy it had to be and after one of us was not happy they took it back to the kitchen and it came back as we wished.
They were really nice and friendly and we had a good experience.
I in person was not really happy with the dessert because i didn't liked the taste of all of it. We tried two of three. Perhaps they had to be like this and i wasn't used to.
I got also a Lassi but it didn't tasted fresh. More like fridge. I cannot tell but i had better one.
So, if you avoid the Lassi and know the kind of dessert, this is a really nice spot to be.

My husband and I were in the Junction area for a dinner date one night and the restaurant we went to didn't have the food we were looking to eat, so we decided to walk down the street and find something else. That's when we came across this fantastic place. We have often seen it but never occurred to us when deciding on a dinner place. So we entered and found it almost empty... we ordered our food; a couple of curries and some garlic pitta bread and pakoras, of course! It was a cold night so we also had chai teas.
Our food was absolute amazing!!!! All of it was great!!! We also realized that So many people order take-out. There were at least 10 people picking up food while we were eating there.
A great finding and cannot wait to go back!

My husband and I LOVE this restaurant!!! The food is flavourful and tasty with a certain kind of goodness and freshness to it that makes you feel amazing! The atmosphere is great: peaceful and cozy, yet special, unique and romantic at the same time! The room is spacious, and even when full with people, the conversations are on the quiet side and the background soft music and warm lights create a feel-good-je-ne-sais-quoi-ambiance. We have recently had a family celebration and some of our family and friends experienced Indian food for the first time, so we were a bit concerned and curious to see what their impression would be. At the end of the evening they were full of praise (along with our whole group, children included!) and I think that the amazing food, as well as the wonderful staff and the way they took care of us had a lot to do with making their first-time-experience and our evening a very successful one! I have been going to Indian restaurants most of my adult life and I believe this may be THE ONLY ONE where, when you ask for a MILD dish, it IS MILD! The children were soo happy with their mild butter chicken! And if you ask for medium-spiced aloo gobi masala, it is deliciously so! Plus they serve dairy free and gluten free dishes! Plus the restaurant is open every day of the week! There are so many perks to this lovely place that it makes it impossible not to fall in love with it! All in all, a wonderful service, deliciously flavoured-filled-with-goodness food, great style and character, great impression, amazing feeling! THANK YOU for creating an inspiring evening for us every time we are here!

The dining room was lovely and cozy. The naan was delicious but I found my Saag Paneer to be bland. I don't love spicy but I thought I would be okay with medium. I had to ask for extra chili sauce. The side dish of rice was tasty. Each individual item was reasonable but once you add the rice and naan the price shoots up. The waitress was very sweet and accommodating. There were only two other tables seated so it seemed quite bare. I hear the take out is a great value. If I go back, it may be for that, but I won't be dining there.

Thank You for your feedback which is very important for us to know how you feel and how we can make your next visit better.
Indian food is very flavourful food if it cooked with the right amount of spices and ingredients. But if you make it bit spicier according to your level high it increases the flavor and taste. If you make it mild it also reduces the flavor a bit. Some dishes like Spinach cooked with very low spices could affect the taste. So Spinach dish should always be at least Medium spice.
All the dishes don't come with Rice or Nan. Dishes are quite a large portion can be shared with two people. Adding Rice and Nan to the Saag paneer should be only $15.40 total which Is not expensive very affordable.
We also have Take out specials every Day $11.95

I've read other reviews about this place and they seem somewhat negative but I don't think those people know great Indian food when it's in front them. This place is truly fantastic. They make absolutely everything from scratch and clearly put their heart and sole into every dish. I will definitely eat there again and again. Superb!!!!!!!

Service was very friendly and atmosphere is roomy and comfortable. I am not an expert in Indian food, but in comparison to the Indian food I had in Hong Kong, this could not compare. The tandoori chicken was dry. The chicken masala was not bad, but could have been more flavourful. Good portions for a reasonable price.
