I have had three meals at this location, all to go: 1. the roast beef dinner 2. the schnitzel sandwich (pork) 3. the schnitzel dinner (pork) The roast beef is bland. The schnitzel sandwich has an inappropriate bread to meat ratio and too many toppings....The schnitzel dinner is the only thing that I have come back for. The schnitzel is good for a food court- crispy, well seasoned, and it actually tastes like pork. It is cut into three to six pieces, which is actually useful because of how big the meal is. It is cooked to order, so it is never cold or soggy. The sides, which are mashed potatoes with beef sauce and steamed vegetables, are hit and miss. The vegetables are usually over cooked and generally do not look green. The potatoes taste like a mashed potato mix and the beef sauce only helps to make them a bit more moist. The service is very up and down and there seems to be a high turnover at this location. Having said that, I have never had an experience that would make me refrain from going there again. I think the only issue I had is that I was not given a plastic bag for my meal once or twice, but at least, I was given a larger paper bag (but with no handles). On a positive note, it is a healthy meal for a food court. Any of the dinners are very filling and come in large portions. Sometimes, I have one dinner over two days, or for lunch then dinner the same day. Before, I found the dinners to be expensive ($10.99). Now, that seems to be the standard rate for food court food in Toronto. The only thing is that none of the dinners include a drink, so that is an added expense. Moreover, I have had Pumpernickel's catering for work events. The sandwiches, pasta, and desserts have been surprisingly good.More

Over 5 visits to the Yonge-Eglinton location. Overall and consistent experience of the food: they look good and portions are generous, yet they somehow taste bland - and everything seem to taste the same the more I ate and tried other food. I guess because...dishes were bland or unremarkable. Worse than the food was one previous experience of bad service - where staff couldn't care less if we stayed or not, the tone and facial expression and overall demeanor said we were not a big loss to their thriving business. A shame when the place has a really big and lovely space/atmosphere. Maybe this is why they're under renovation right now - to overhaul food and customer service.More

Good, freshly made on site food with overlook on the harbor. Many options of roast chicken slices' roasted veggies, roast beef, pesto sauce, foccacia bread, sub buns, salads with an assortment of additions. Chicken schnitzel and chicken parmesan sandwiches freshly cooked to order and delicious,...light coating on thin chicken breast! in the food court of Queen's Quay, second floor so very fast! Sit on the balcony if the weather is nice and inside if it isn't - a good view either way.More

York-Crosstown is a sleepy area of Toronto dotted
