Lovely location to get together for a quick bite. My partner and I went in initially looking for one of the 35 types of burgers advertized, but it was 1/2 price wing night with purchase of a pint....we couldn't refuse! Good, flavourful wings, good pint...good combination!

After pretty much exactly 20 minutes, our burgers arrived! I ordered the Hickory Stick Burger with 8 oz Canadian Grade A Beef with a side of Fresh Greens. The Hickory Stick Burger came with Hickory smoked BBQ sauce, caramelized onions, and melted mozzarella and cheddar. The burger itself was gorgeous with its melted mozzarella and cheddar in huge slices on... More

Walked past this place a few times but yesterday my grandson said we needed a cold beer and a sandwich. He'd eaten here a couple of times and said it was pretty good. Most tables outside on this delightful Saturday were taken but shade had more appeal so we went indoors. The menu was far more extensive than I expected... More

Visited the Yellow Griffin on a Thursday night with a group of 4. We decided to grab a table outside because the weather was nice and it's a great area for people watching. Two of us ordered burgers and two of us ordered sausages. The burgers were good, not great but still good. The topping combinations were impressive and very... More

We were on a long bike ride downtown and came across this spot for lunch. What a great place! 35 varieties of Burgers and really interesting selection of meats. Aside from the usual...they have Bison, Camel and others! We had Calypso buglers with Bison...DELICIOUS! Try Yellow Griffin...I'll be back!

If you like burgers, you'll like this place. Personally I find them to messy to eat, but I have to say I was impressed with the range of burgers they have. Having said that, they don't really taste like gourmet burgers which is way 15 bucks for one seems way too much. They are pretty flavourful, I'll give you that.... More

Got their on sunday night. The waitress was very nice but I sat and waited more than 10 minutes for getting a cold beer. I was a bit on a hurry and as much as I could be patient for an excellent burger I appreciate to be served a Drink ASAP. The table next to me was pretty much the... More

I went in on a weeknight and had a great burger. They have lots of on tap options, as well as some cool sounding cocktails, but what this place is known for are it's burgers. They have over 35 burgers to choose from! I forget what mine was called (they all have punny names) but it had like, blue cheese... More

Hubby and I really, reallly want to love this place. The food is pretty good. But, we just cannot get past the spotty service, which ranges from just this side of good to terrible, depending on what day you go, what time it is and if they have new staff or not (which is quite often). We used to come... More

Staying in West End

Neighborhood Profile
West End
The go-to area for new business start-ups, the spry and creative persona of the West End thrives along its streets. Its independent boutiques, galleries, restaurants, and shops offer brands that can't be found elsewhere. Buildings with ground floor consumer spaces sport up-top artist's lofts, and the West End attracts artists, designers, and fashion industry professionals to its living quarters. It is in the cross-hairs of gentrification, but still resisting it with ironic relish. Hot deals can still be found here on furniture and knick-knacks,. Its call to culinary glory is in its well-priced homemade Polish food, hosting Toronto's go-to spots for hot pierogis and cold borscht. High Park, the largest green space in the city, is a place for dreamers and poets to wander and rest, not to mention a number of energetic actors staging outdoor plays in the summertime.
