This place is a hidden gem in Toronto's fine dining scene. Located a few subway stops from downtown. It is tapas style, and vegan/vegetarian friendly. The servers are knowledgeable and food is superior to most of the fine dining on the food scene.

We've been here before and it has become a "must" when we visit Toronto. Imaginative small plates with lots of variety. Very good wine selection and knowledgable servers. Highly recommended.

We took a friend from out of town last month, and we were impressed by the knowledgeable and attentive service, as well as the innovative and delicious tapas.

Better food than the competitor, Bar Isabel. Prices outrageous for tapas. Needs to have a 50$ dinner per person, not 80$. Too bad.Chef is exceptional.

The title said it all. The food doesn't worth the cost at all! And some of the dishes are not "truly" Spanish tapas at all! This place is absolutely over-rated. People please be smart, don't waste your money here!

It was quite easy to find this restaurant for us as first time Toronto visitors. We booked our table as recommended, we received a very friendly welcome and restaurant is very cozy, outdoor seating are available. Good food but outstanding service, sommelier didn't hover while we were choosing wine but was there to offer guidelines when we needed. We love... More

Had a great experience the food was good nothing that really blew my mind but the service was one of the best I have experienced anywhere in the world. The wait staff were fast and knowledgeable one did not notice they were around. The sommelier was on top of the game. The restaurant was full and we were there for... More

Some of the dishes at Cava are quite good, but it is expensive, given the portion size. A foie gras pintxo was delicately flavoured and delicious, but steeply priced at $9.50. Other pintxos were more reasonably priced at $4-5. A salad of anchovies, bread and fava beans was OK, but the potato appetiser in a bland tomato sauce disappointed. A... More

The pinchos were absolutely amazing, every single one! We got 5 between the two of us and it was the perfect quantity to split between 2 ppl that weren't incredibly hungry. We then had a couple mains. The ceviche was great but there was a looooooot of fat on the small lamb ribs so there wasn't much to eat for... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown is a dynamic part of Toronto with some of its most stylish high-rise residences and heritage buildings. The area sees busy shoppers with bag-laden arms balancing lattes in paper cups as they travel from one luxury brand to the next, taking advantage of the proximity of high-end shops. The reflecting pools, jogging trails, and nature treks of the Rosehill Revision are always a hub of outdoor activity, and after a workout from either running or splurging, many take advantage of the spas and massage parlors Midtown has to offer. Away from the bakeries, boutiques, and glamorous old theaters of the district's center, locals use the weekend to embrace the more suburban feel of Midtown's parks, tennis courts, outdoor markets, and the manicured grounds of Casa Loma, while families indulge the area's state-of-the-art playground and learning facilities. Of course, no high-brow district is complete without a healthy counter-culture: Midtown boasts some of the wildest street art and full-wall graffiti of any neighborhood in Toronto.
