A friend of ours suggested we visit George and we are so happy that we did. We ordered the 5 course tasting menu, it was amazing and suited to our preferences. We also had a beautiful bottle of Spanish wine recommended to us by our...More

We were four for dinner and had high expectations after hearing about the restaurant and reading reviews. The building is unremarkable and the signage is minimalist so be sure you know where you are going because you could easily walk right by it. It is...More

If you like progressive eating, beautiful presentations, and unique wine pairings, this is a must go for you. Expect to pay a king's ransom for a couple but it is worth the treat. Excellent service tops it all off.

Date nights are rare for us so when we can get out we go all out! This experience definitely lived up to our hopes and expectations. What's more romantic than a tasting menu for two? We through caution to the wind and were open to...More

There is nothing wrong with the food - but the portions are so small you'd think you were in Paris in the 80's. And the saucy sommelier had way too much attitude. The first 5 oz. pour was closer to 3 oz. I called I'm...More

Firstly - this is a definite special occasion place. Eating here should be thought of as an experience that could take several hours if you get a large number of courses. There are three tasting menus (5,7 and 10 courses). Each person gets a different...More

This is a very nice restaurant with great food options if you need gluten free or vegan menu items. The food was very tasty and the staff provided excellent customer service. Our server even ran outside (in the freezing cold) to hail a cab for...More

George is a different experience. We were a group of 4 couples and we were seated at a large round table in the restaurant which was ideal for conversation. The decor is done up to look like a patio garden (I'm guessing) and while it...More

Went for an anniversary dinner and had the tasting menu with wine pairing. My partner had the regular, while I the pescatarian. To begin, the staff are gracious and knowledgeable. They were professional but also were able to joke with us once things became more...More

At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination

I guess if you are going that it is their suggestion. The menu has meat and potato but it won't be in the form you get at The Keg - still it's meat and potato. If everyone else wants the tasting menu then just be polite... More
