We had a great meal here on the weekend, before seeing The Book of Mormon. This restaurant has a wonderful atmosphere. It's small and cozy - some might find it too crowded, but it's part of the charm of the place. The food was excellent (I am still dreaming of the grilled calamari, which was cooked to tender, tasty perfection)... More

My husband and I were referred to this restaurant by a manager, Marek, from Hilton Garden Downtown. It was perfect. From the European flair, the terrific music to the fantastic menu, this restaurant aims to please. The excellent staff sure set the stage for a wonderful dining experience. We will refer our friends to Kit Kat and we are looking... More

We chose this restaurant for its walking distance to the Princess of Wales Theatre... maybe that's what we ended up paying for. The restaurant is a tight fit and had a small dining area at the front window. You have to pass the bar and the open kitchen to reach the main dining area at the back. We didn't expect... More

My parents were in town for a show and so we decided to head to Kit Kat since we knew the food was good, and we'd be able to get in and out before the show started. Both proved to be true, and the staff was as friendly and as welcoming as ever before. However we were all rather underwhelmed... More

As with many of the restaurants in the area, we were asked whether we were going to a show and that made the service very fast. We had a combination of dishes, pasta, chicken and fish and all of them were nicely done. The ambience is very nice. They had a problem with the cold weather so now they don't... More

We were just in TO for a couple of days and had asked a couple of people at the CN Tower for recommendations. We didn't have a particular cuisine in mind, so decided to give it a try. We didn't have the recommended reservations, but they were able to accommodate us quite quickly. I decided to have a couple of... More

It was our 1st time at Kit Kat and it won't be our last. Loved everything about it. We were a group of 7 heading to Toronto for a few Bluejays games. We got super lucky and walked right in with no wait. The food, service, and atmosphere was excellent. Looking forward to heading back to Kit Kat Canada Day... More

We first visited kit kat 10 1/2 years ago on our honey moon. Finally able to make a return trip while on vacation. Food was just as good this time around as it was then. Ate in doors this time which was the only part that I wish hadn't changed. Would have loved to been able to eat outside. Being... More

The food was great - lots of specials and good wine. What else can one ask for!! The waitress was quick to note that the kids needed feeding first.

Staying in Downtown West

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
