Great Breakfast

We recently went here with the entire family when our kitchen was being worked on, for breakfast/brunch.. We got the table in the back for 6 people, which was perfect for us. We had two vegetarians with us so it was great that there were so many non meat options. The food was tasty, fresh and... read more

I had a Belgian waffle with fresh fruit and it was exactly that, which is good. My family members had the eggs Benedict and the hollandaise sauce was tasteless and runny and their hash browns were cold. We would not go back.

Great fresh food served by friendly and efficient staff. Healthy choices available and everything is freshly prepared. Skip breakfast offerings in nearby hotels and enjoy the hospitality and quality at Sunset Grill. Good start to the day.

We have had breakfast here a couple of doze times over the years. Nothing fancy for sure, but it nails breakfast! All the usual selections, reasonable prices.

After church on Sunday my husband and I like to go out for breakfast/brunch and visit The Sunset Grill from time to time. However, the last visit along with today's were continued disappoints with the line cooks abilities to cook steak and eggs properly. On the last visit it was the eggs on this visit the not only the eggs... More

This was one of our favourite restaurants for breakfast. The prices are good and the eggs - such as eggs benedict or simply their three eggs special - are always nicely done. The service was quick and efficient. Sit down and your coffee was in front of you within half a minute and your order taken - the way you... More

Slightly chaotic trying to get a table for 5 or 6, but we managed it in the end. Place was constantly busy so it was refreshing to be served by a great server, who was patient and helpful. Food, well your average grill type affair, but what they call a Greek salad, was far from it, carrot, no olives and... More

Just back from a wonderful diner breakfast at Sunset Grill. Super friendly staff supplied endless cups of coffee to wash down any type if egg, bacon combination imaginable. Very family friendly. Highly recommended!

A dump has a purpose and I dont believe its serving people breakfast. This place is a dump through and through. Grimy, dirty tables, menus and old decor. Food is bland and boring. Its a disgrace to the original Sunset in the Beach.

Staying in West End

Neighborhood Profile
West End
The go-to area for new business start-ups, the spry and creative persona of the West End thrives along its streets. Its independent boutiques, galleries, restaurants, and shops offer brands that can't be found elsewhere. Buildings with ground floor consumer spaces sport up-top artist's lofts, and the West End attracts artists, designers, and fashion industry professionals to its living quarters. It is in the cross-hairs of gentrification, but still resisting it with ironic relish. Hot deals can still be found here on furniture and knick-knacks,. Its call to culinary glory is in its well-priced homemade Polish food, hosting Toronto's go-to spots for hot pierogis and cold borscht. High Park, the largest green space in the city, is a place for dreamers and poets to wander and rest, not to mention a number of energetic actors staging outdoor plays in the summertime.
