This was a casual lunchtime meal with a friend, which was a no-brainer once I discovered they had a Summerlicious menu. They sat us in a booth, which was nice. We actually decided to choose an appetiser and main from the usual lunch menu instead of the special one, except I wanted the cornmeal crusted calamari, which they obliged me... More

We went into this restaurant and it seemed quite a bit empty... the setting was nice the location great, but was not too sure how the business was going 'cos obviously we were one of the few guests there... We ordered wine and of course the steak, it turns out ok but nothing special or to match the 'steakhouse' expectation

I believe you must book before hand as it was very busy. We found the service to be good and they were very helpful. We tried the summerlicious menu and it was adequate for our needs. Parking could be an issue and we arrived early because of this but found a spot right away when someone left as we arrived.... More

This restaurant has never let us down. The steak and seafood are fabulous, perfectly cooked and beautifully served. Staff are friendly and helpful. Recently, ate there during Summerlicious - and the special menu was fabulous, and delicious. Highly recommended.

I was able to "pick my restaurant" for a business meeting and felt like a nice steak. Had the escargot and calamari for starters and they were very good. Lovely light bread in on the calamari. Nice German Pilsner to wash it down. Next came the New York steak and potato. The steak was good (not close to the best... More

Got a chance to dine here on opening night of summerlicious menu. The selection is enormous. I had the caesar salad and Ribs... both were delicious. Service was friendly and quick. Would recommend to anyone looking to try a summerlicous menu where the portions seem to be the same size as regular menu prices.

It had been awhile since i was last at the Wildfire but it did not disappoint. Restaurant itself is starting to look a little dated but food and service certainly make up for that. Steak quality is still very high and sides all very tasty and generous in portion size.

Went with a friend for a dinner. Service was okay, not great not awful. Server was very friendly, just not super attentive. We had the beet salad, very tasty. We had filets, mine was a bit undercooked, but had nice flavor and very tender. My potato, however, was not even warm. I did not tell the server because it was... More

Went to dinner for my husband's birthday with our son and my mother-in-law. Originally made reservations for 7:30. When I realized earlier in the day that we could actually be there for 7:00, I called and asked if we could come for 7:00. I was told only 6:30 or 7:30 because they were fully booked. Since we were early we... More

We dined at Wildfire Steakhouse on a Wednesday evening around 6:15 pm. We tried the GROUPON for TWO and was satisfied with our dining experience. The groupon menu provided a fair selection and a variety of choices. The wait staff were friendly and attentive. We were seated in a raised booth area behind the front reception, which was excellent for... More

Staying in North End

Neighborhood Profile
North End
The North End is a nucleus of specialty food restaurants and shops, especially around its Mount Pleasant Village area. Frequented by antiquers for its numerous collectable shops, furniture spots, and oddity stores, the North End is a maverick of the quaint and quality. Vintage toy stores, accessory shops, and cinemas welcome perusers to step back in time, while the wide pedestrian squares and the large medical and business community inject it with a dose of modernity. With numerous cafes and Toronto's greatest number of independent booksellers, it isn't uncommon to see folks in this area at their leisure, reading outdoors and in eateries, and taking life a bit more slowly – even if it's only during their lunch break.
