The food is beond exquisite Service is perfect. And the deserts are to kill for And if you are lucky enough to meet the owner he is one of the most down to earth people I have ever met

I had the pleasure of enjoying a nice lunch at Wildfire North York steak restaurant on Thursday, February 2, 2017, during the annual Winterlicious program. There was a choice of any one appetizer, one entrée and one dessert. At the conclusion of my lunch, I felt satisfied - pleasantly full. I began with the soup du jour, which was a... More

We visited and ordered from the Winterlicious menu. It is reasonably priced at $38.00 for a three course meal. The food was not that great. The fried Calamari was quite good. The Caesar salad was awful: a head of discolored lettuce with some toppings on top. It was to cut and eat and completely lacks any flavor. It was left... More

We had always wanted to try this restaurant, and finally did when the Winterlicious menu came out. We were happy to see that the prices were reasonable (even without the Winterlicious menu). The escargot and calamari (both grilled and fried) were delicious. We tried the mushroom risotto which was good, and the steak was cooked perfectly. Creme brulee is absolutely... More

A little disappointed I'm afraid. All three of us had the lamb shank. It was underseasoned and undercooked and so was a bit tough. I had visions of the meat falling off the bone. Not the case.... Appetizer (escargot) was fine as was the dessert. I had creme brûlée. My husband and friend had the chocolate torte which was very... More

This was a chance to visit with a friend before she left for the winter. When I phoned to make reservations, the young lady (Amanda) and I had a nice chat and asked what was the occasion and whether I had any seating requests.I specified a quiet table where we could hear easily hear each other She has a slight... It's the rare restaurant that leaves enough of an impression to motivate a review, but Wildfire North York went above and beyond. I organized a large group dinner, 24 people, in one of their private rooms. From the beginning they were responsive and very accommodating. On the evening of the dinner we had excellent service and all my guest were... More

I've been visiting the Wildfire for over a decade now. Jody's established himself as a true restauranteur and his staff offer exceptional service. Great ambiance featuring a solid menu and a very large selection of wines and spirits. Meat dishes are well prepared and balanced with seasonal items and fresh ingredients. Our steaks were served in timely manner and cooked... More

We have been wanting to visit this Wildfire location for a while now and sure glad that we did. Imagine a cold winter day being lucky for a parking spot right in front of the entrance. Walking up to the door we are greeted with the door being oppened and a smile and welcome greeting. We decided to sit at... More

Staying in North End

Neighborhood Profile
North End
The North End is a nucleus of specialty food restaurants and shops, especially around its Mount Pleasant Village area. Frequented by antiquers for its numerous collectable shops, furniture spots, and oddity stores, the North End is a maverick of the quaint and quality. Vintage toy stores, accessory shops, and cinemas welcome perusers to step back in time, while the wide pedestrian squares and the large medical and business community inject it with a dose of modernity. With numerous cafes and Toronto's greatest number of independent booksellers, it isn't uncommon to see folks in this area at their leisure, reading outdoors and in eateries, and taking life a bit more slowly – even if it's only during their lunch break.
