After a poor experience at another veggie/ vegan restaurant in Toronto I found this place friendly and authentic with decent food (although my party only had the salads and juices.) A pleasant lunch experience- would go back.

I had a takeout and ordered the drumsticks and avocado salad wrap. Both were excellent. Next time I am in town I will definitely go again.

I am a meat-eater and typically don't LOVE vegetarian-only restaurants. This one, however, is truly outstanding! I had a mint/ginger chiller to drink (YUM), and then split the shanghai noodles and spicy eggplant with a friend. I don't even know which one I liked more - they were both so delicious! The service was also excellent. I will definitely be... More

These guys have a slick looking website and I was expecting an equally slick looking restaurant. When I arrived I had to double check I was at the right place. The setup is pretty basic and the menus look like that have seen better days. BUT, the food was top notch. We shared 4 dishes between 2 of us, as... More

Baldwin St. is a funky row of restaurants, just north of the Arty Gallery of Ontario and south of the University. Vegetarian Haven fits right in...the staff are incredibly welcoming and knowledgeable, the menu informative and the food delicious.

Upon a poor recommdation, we still visited Vegetarian Haven. Long story short, we opted to do order a variety of dishes family style. Two of our party, devout veggies, detected a poultry flavour, and upon questions, found it was possible. Of 7 dishes, 3 were comped. Perhaps, Vegetarian Haven should be more forthcoming on their menu options. Apparently, secret is... More

The service is impeccable, the atmosphere is great and the menu was extensive. They do not serve alcohol, though the soft drinks menu is comprehensive. This is not for foodies who like fine dining....this is perfect for a casual meal with family or friends. It was refreshing to have such choice as a vegetarian in Toronto. The chefs special was... I went to Vegetarian Haven with my adult daughter for dinner on March 23rd. I was really excited as I have recently adopted a vegan diet. The appetizers did not disappoint - delicious hot Asian dumplings and "seafood" tempura. I wouldn't have called it tempura - it was in a much harder, firmer coating than Panko - but it tasted...
