My wife and I arrived at our hotel (Hilton downtown) after a 5+ hour trip down from Sudbury, ONT. Since we didn't have lunch while traveling to our hotel, we decided to have lunch at the Tundra in the Hilton Hotel. We decided to have the brisket sliders. You can order 2, 4, or 6 sliders. We order 4 and... More

Attending something The Four Seasons centre? Tundra is a very short walk away. Visited with an 85-year-old friend who chose the restaurant; we explained we had ballet tickets & the waiter was most accommodating, returning quickly to take our food order, brining us our wine promptly. We both enjoyed everything we had - including the shared dessert platter [yum!]

Perfect plsce, located in Toronto Hilton for a nightcap and snack. Turkey Club and plank of Italian meats and cheeses was perfect for the three of us.

I stayed at the Hilton with a couple friends and we wanted to have a drink at the bar before getting ready. We asked the bartender for a drink menu which he gave us and then walked away. He stayed at the other end of the bar for about 10 minutes paying no attention to us and just chatted with... More

We were staying at the Hilton where the restaurant is located. The brunch was very nice. Hot and Cold dishes. They did not replenish the dishes very quickly, we found we were waiting often for the empty items to be replaced, however they were very fresh and good when they arrived. The fruit was plentiful, assorted breads, cheeses and deli... More

Hotel across the street has live music. I would suggest the same for the Hilton. I stayed 4 nights and it is quite boring. There is sports on the Tv but absolute no lively atmosphere at all. A downtown hotel should put more effort in to their lounge area.

We had been sightseeing all morning and decided to grab something for lunch in the hotel. I had falafel which was good. My husband had the bison burger which he said was good. Service was a little slow, and we and another couple were the only ones in the restaurant, but it was adequate.

Six years ago I lived in Toronto and at the time, Tundra was on my list of "must visit" restaurants. So imagine my surprise when I saw it was on the first floor of the hotel I was staying at, the Hilton Toronto! On a Friday night, the restaurant was nearly empty. I chose the haddock for my main course,... More

Staying in Downtown West

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
