I have been for both business and with family for dinner. I found the music a little loud for conversation. The wine list is excellent and the suggestions provided were great. The group (business--8) (family--5) chose several items for appetizers and sampled several main courses. All were good. No one had dessert so cannot comment. There is valet parking out... More

We had to try Sotto Sotto after hearing from relatives how good it is. Parking was convenient just across from the restaurant - parking lot and street parking on Avenue Road, south of Davenport. Reservations are required even during the week as it is very popular and the tables on the ground floor are close together. There is additional seating... More

Went there yesterday with my fiancée. Totally impressed with the romantic ambience of the place, not top mention the upscale area. The food was excellent. Started off my mussels in a tomato sauce and then angel hair pasta with shrimp, and smoked penne pasta with salmon and asparagus. Will definitely come back.

And super Atmosphäre. One of the Best Restaurants in Toronto. The location being in midtown is easily reachable. The two floors are beautifully decorated which gives the Restaurant a cosy but elegant atmosphere. Quality of Food, its display as well as taste can be rated as excellent. Will we return? A definate YES

For best service and the most relaxing time, go for a late lunch s Sotto is super-popular at other times. With probably the best wine list of any restaurant in Toronto, the bar is excellent. The menu is all classics, with Seafood very well represented; risotto is about $50, designed to serve two, and outstanding. We had the mixed seafood... More

Was told to come here by friends and we were not disappointed. Nat was our waiter and he took excellent care of us throughout the evening. Has a great wine selection and the food was amazing. I am gluten free so they had many offers to choose from. I had a veal dish with pasta which was amazing. Great desserts... More

I came here after a long day on the water with a group of friends. The restaurant was empty in the middle of dinner time. We ordered the Seafood plaza which was fresh and fantastic.

This was highly recommended as a fine place for fine food. And so it is. It is expensive, but worth it. We would go back there again. It is a terrific place for an intimate celebration.

Visited this restaurant for the first time in April. Service was spot on! Food was superb. I had pasta with a marinara sauce ( simple, but for me a true test to the "authenticity" of the italian food). It was perfect. The pasta was al dente, the sauce was delicious. I love this restaurant and would return in a heartbeat!.... More

Using only the freshest ingredients Sotto Sotto offers a considerable menu of simple classics and traditional creations. To start there is an abundance of wonderful salads and antipasti. Pastas are available as a second or main course dish. Main courses feature veal, beef, seafood and poultry and there are also "risotto for two" options. We also serve delicious gelati and desserts including homemade tiramisu made in the time honoured traditional style of the Rocca family.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown is a dynamic part of Toronto with some of its most stylish high-rise residences and heritage buildings. The area sees busy shoppers with bag-laden arms balancing lattes in paper cups as they travel from one luxury brand to the next, taking advantage of the proximity of high-end shops. The reflecting pools, jogging trails, and nature treks of the Rosehill Revision are always a hub of outdoor activity, and after a workout from either running or splurging, many take advantage of the spas and massage parlors Midtown has to offer. Away from the bakeries, boutiques, and glamorous old theaters of the district's center, locals use the weekend to embrace the more suburban feel of Midtown's parks, tennis courts, outdoor markets, and the manicured grounds of Casa Loma, while families indulge the area's state-of-the-art playground and learning facilities. Of course, no high-brow district is complete without a healthy counter-culture: Midtown boasts some of the wildest street art and full-wall graffiti of any neighborhood in Toronto.
