Went here for the all day breakfast. Great price for a satisfying meal without breaking the bank. Food was made with love and tasted great. I had scramble egg, toast, mini potatoes (yum) and sausages. I would go back again in a heartbeat.

I got the beef knish as I here them talk about it on Seinfeld. It came with gravy, and was delicious. The pastrami on rye was OK.

Went on a Saturday morning for breakfast. Restaurant was not crowded, so was able to be seated immediately. Ordered eggs+lox and toasted western. Both served with home fries. I found eggs+lox a little watery (I like me scrambled eggs drier — maybe just a personal preference). Toasted western was excellent. Portions were large. Had enough of toasted western to use... This deli is a stone's throw from fashionable Bloor St and its hi-end shopping ... the food is typical deli ... very informal and very good. Lots of variety, generous portions and quick friendly service. Any of the meat platters would be a good choice. Ive never had anything else, but Im sure it's all yummy. Not a late-night place... Came before a movie in an area surprisingly void of good, quick meals. Had a very good breakfast, from a very extensive menu with all the usual deli suspects. Place was busy, and the waiter was a bit clueless, but even with that combo I would go back.

Been going to New York deli for about 10 years now since I work not to far from here. The atmosphere is really good and you get the sense of a family run business. The employees are friendly and after some time they recognize you and you can tell who is a regular. Every time I go there I make... More

I've been going to the New Yorker Deli for 16 years and it's a great deli. The food is consistently good, the chicken salad sandwiches, the smoked meat sandwiches and the potato latkes are delicious. The service is usually good, the place is usually very busy at lunch so the servers are very busy and they don't have time to... More

I came here looking for a late breakfast. They have a $5.99 breakfast special and so I ordered two eggs. toast, and makes sure you order the corned beef hash! Don't expect your typical hash for this - I think that what they use is the super-tasty guts from the inside of a kishka! Perfect about of spice and flavour!... More

I almost forgot how good their Reuben sandwich was. m and to be honest I still forget. I had it to take out and it missed the spot. Since I took it home with me I could not complain to the management , whom I know quite well, and I am quite certain they would have made it up to... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
