When in Toronto, you must Scaramouche! :) I visited Scaramouche many years ago and only a few times since then when in Toronto but it remains one of my all-time favourite restaurants . It is a magical setting, service superb, the food delicious. Unforgettable experience. Especially a romantic setting over the winter holidays. It is a treasure to be there... More

Four of us went to Scaramouche in September. It was my first visit and I would love to go again. Absolutely fantastic food and wine of the highest quality so not a cheap place but definitely value for money. The view over the city towards downtown is great (the restaurant has stepped seating so you can see even if you're... More

We took relatives here as a thank you for putting us up for several weeks. The food was wonderful - perfectly cooked and presented. We had the fois gras terrine to start and it was really good. Served with a kind of rough puffed pastry that was a perfect foil for the liver. For mains my husband had the veal... More

Had dinner at the Pasta bar. The place was jammed. It is always hard to get in last minute but always accommodating if you give enough notice. Had Cream of Mushroom soup and the Halibut. Pretty simple fares but not there. Absolutely fabulous. It has become our go to restaurant when we need a pick me up. Always pleasant servers... More

My wife and I wen to a fundraiser for a client. We didn't know what to expect, but co-workers said it was really nice. They were right. It is a little hard to find, but our taxi had GPS and that helped. Beautiful lay out, decor and view. While you don't have to dress up, I would feel uncomfortable in... More

We had wanted a good restaurant to celebrate various professional accomplishments. Usually Canoe is the choice, but since it was not open on Saturday night for dinner, had to look elsewhere. After researching, picked Scaramouche. After many meals at Canoe, the bar was set high. That bar was surpassed. The wine list is very well selected, something for all tastes... More

This place has a turn off: its location. Hard to find, specially if you like to walk. What is it with a first class restaurant in the first floor of a condo building? Once you pass that, you get into one of the best views of Toronto, with an excellent menu, with a professional service, with great recommendations. Absolutely a... More

Scaramouche has long been celebrated by customers and critics for its unwavering commitment to making each dining experience a memorable one. Chef/owner Keith Froggett's sophisticated cuisine is presented simply with care and attention to detail. The service underscores that philosophy: unobtrusive and respectful. The restaurant affords a stunning nighttime vista of the downtown Toronto skyline. These components and more make Scaramouche the singular destination it is. And the reason that the restaurant is consistently ranked as one of the city's best for more than three decades.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown is a dynamic part of Toronto with some of its most stylish high-rise residences and heritage buildings. The area sees busy shoppers with bag-laden arms balancing lattes in paper cups as they travel from one luxury brand to the next, taking advantage of the proximity of high-end shops. The reflecting pools, jogging trails, and nature treks of the Rosehill Revision are always a hub of outdoor activity, and after a workout from either running or splurging, many take advantage of the spas and massage parlors Midtown has to offer. Away from the bakeries, boutiques, and glamorous old theaters of the district's center, locals use the weekend to embrace the more suburban feel of Midtown's parks, tennis courts, outdoor markets, and the manicured grounds of Casa Loma, while families indulge the area's state-of-the-art playground and learning facilities. Of course, no high-brow district is complete without a healthy counter-culture: Midtown boasts some of the wildest street art and full-wall graffiti of any neighborhood in Toronto.
