This place has a turn off: its location. Hard to find, specially if you like to walk. What is it with a first class restaurant in the first floor of a condo building? Once you pass that, you get into one of the best views of Toronto, with an excellent menu, with a professional service, with great recommendations. Absolutely a... More

Food was great, service was good but location is a turn off. It is located on the first floor of an apartment building and we saw some bugs on the table as well. So it wasn't very clean. It is not as elegant as I was expecting.

Although we had to wait for a table on a busy Sunday evening, once seated the service was excellent. Good selection of wines by the glass. As they make their own mozzarella fresh on the premises we felt that we could not say no - delicious. My pasta was good but the salmon a little over done, we need to... More

My parter and I went to Scaramouch for our wedding anniversary and we were not disappointed! The food was fantastic! My partner had the lobster salad and I had the daily special to start. Both dishes were full of flavour and well executed. We then went on to have the scallops and filet mignon and both dishes were cooked to... More

I booked a table at Scaramouche for our last evening in Canada based on the reviews online - we were not disappointed. The food was delicious and the service perfect. The view from the restaurant overlooking the Toronto skyline is also very impressive. I would certainly return to Scaramouche for any special occasion. I would certainly recommend booking a table... Went here for dinner. Located in a residential neighborhood outside of downtown Toronto. Beautiful decor. Has a snooty feel (we felt underdressed although there is no dress code). Service was attentive. Great view of the Toronto skyline. Food was spectacular. Heirloom tomato salad had many different and delicious things going on, octopus appetizer, filet, and pasta special were similarly amazing.... More

My wife and I made 3 trips to Toronto this summer for different events. On each trip we tried 2 different restaurants. During our last trip we ate at Scaramouche and were very pleased and impressed. The food and service were excellent. The restaurant is not very fancy in side, but we liked the simple and clean lines. If you... More

Fantastic! Creative, intriguing menu, wonderful tastes, delicious food. Add in great service, and a wonderful view of the city especially as evening becomes night and the city lights up. Expensive, but totally worth it.

Proposed to my wife in this beautiful, romantic restaurant 21 years ago. The meal/experience was unforgettable. Came back 21 years later. Still one of the best in the city. Romantic, incredible views of downtown TO. Impeccable service, delicious food. A must for everyone's bucket list!!!!

Thank timbrem

Scaramouche has long been celebrated by customers and critics for its unwavering commitment to making each dining experience a memorable one. Chef/owner Keith Froggett's sophisticated cuisine is presented simply with care and attention to detail. The service underscores that philosophy: unobtrusive and respectful. The restaurant affords a stunning nighttime vista of the downtown Toronto skyline. These components and more make Scaramouche the singular destination it is. And the reason that the restaurant is consistently ranked as one of the city's best for more than three decades.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown is a dynamic part of Toronto with some of its most stylish high-rise residences and heritage buildings. The area sees busy shoppers with bag-laden arms balancing lattes in paper cups as they travel from one luxury brand to the next, taking advantage of the proximity of high-end shops. The reflecting pools, jogging trails, and nature treks of the Rosehill Revision are always a hub of outdoor activity, and after a workout from either running or splurging, many take advantage of the spas and massage parlors Midtown has to offer. Away from the bakeries, boutiques, and glamorous old theaters of the district's center, locals use the weekend to embrace the more suburban feel of Midtown's parks, tennis courts, outdoor markets, and the manicured grounds of Casa Loma, while families indulge the area's state-of-the-art playground and learning facilities. Of course, no high-brow district is complete without a healthy counter-culture: Midtown boasts some of the wildest street art and full-wall graffiti of any neighborhood in Toronto.
