Sauvignon has become a staple of the beach neighbourhood. Located just west of Woodbine Ave on Queen St, Sauvignon is a regular restaurant for my family and friends. The interior is cozy and warm with a French bistro atmosphere. Intimate seating available for 2's , 4's and larger gatherings. The menu never disappoints, regular menu items change every few months.... More

3 of us had the pasta special. Delicious and just the right amount. Then there were the desserts - out of this world. Not to mention the great server from Newfoundland with her so friendly presence!

I have dined at Sauvignon many, many times and it remains my favourite restaurant in the Beach area of Toronto. This is a great local establishment with a very relaxed French atmosphere, friendly waiting staff, incredible food and a great selection of wines. If you like Caesar Salads with a lot of garlic...try Sauvignon's Caesar! I would recommend this place... More

We were visiting family in the area and were looking for a good restaurant and found this excellent place. The menu was varied and the food was of a very high calibre. We look forward to revisiting when next in Toronto.

Sauvignon really delivers. The ambience is great and the food is outstanding. I had the lamb shank which was delicious. Without being told, our waiter figured out it was a Birthday celebration and put a candle in our shared (delectable) dessert. For the record it was a lemon cheesecake with meringue topping. I have been to this restaurant 10 times... More

From the moment of booking the reservation, Sam was wonderful: warm, inviting and accommodating. After a great day of sailing, we wanted a late dinner outside. The food, the service and wine were perfect, all chosen at the suggestion of the staff. The food appeared swiftly and well timed. The mussels with fresh tarragon, white wine and a touch of... More

About two years ago I gave a very positive review of this restaurant. We returned and the quality remains high. Staff are knowledgeable and helpful, the service prompt and courteous. We had the veal and duck and both were delicious. Sauvignon appears to have a number of neighbour regulars which suggests why they do well. Sauvignon remains the best restaurant... More

Staying in East End

Neighborhood Profile
East End
The East End is an eclectic amalgamation of areas that team up to make this district one of the most multi-faceted and alluring. Home to Toronto's LGBT community hub, Gay Village is alive and pumping day or night with friendly bars, nightclubs, and cafes – its thumb is on the pulse of excitement. For a more relaxed day, the East End has the largest collection of restored Victorian homes, and its stately streets, tree-lined and bursting at the seams with affluence, often sport farmers markets and street artists, epitomized by the effusive St. Lawrence Market. One of the most gorgeous of Toronto's neighborhoods, it also straddles Lake Ontario in an area called The Beach, where you'll find folks cycling and strolling along the sandy shorelines, getting some sun or enjoying shopping, dining, and pub options. For some fabulous food, the vivacious personalities running the restaurants in the East End's Greektown is only equaled by the fun and authenticity of the street stalls and restaurants at its expansive Indian Bazaar. 'Something for everyone' has never been so accurate.
