One of our favourite places in North Toronto. No better place for an outdoor summer dinner with family or friends than on their huge outdoor patio. Warm, friendly staff make you feel like one of the family. Yummy food selections with specials daily. Pasta del mare and any of their curries are my personal favourites. And upstairs is a fun,... Nothing beats a warm summer evening on a flower filled patio with good friends and delicious food with very attentive service. The three week long Summerlicious program throughout the city has diners enjoying great restaurants at special prefixed prices. You want to hurry as the program ends this weekend.

Summerlicious runs in Toronto for two weeks in July every year. Great way to try different establishments with prix fixe menu. Decided to try the lunch menu at $18.00 per person for 3 courses. Menu changes from year to year. Went with the house specialty of the chicken wrap and the other entree was steelhead trout. Appetizer (good size fresh... More

It was late in the evening and this cute restaurant was one of the few restaurants in the area open. The food was scrumptious! Nice wraps and salads and reasonably priced. Good wait staff and service. We thoroughly enjoyed it!

This is a neighbourhood classic. Ask anyone who lives around here and they will tell you it's the place to go for chicken wraps, sweet potato fries, flourless chocolate cake and a nice cold pint. I have brought many of my friends to Safari over the years and it's funny how they don't have the same appreciation for the food... More

Was not too happy with their food quality. Menu looks rather appetizing but was not the case. Ordered a simple burger...rather dry and had no taste to it. Not a place to return to.

Went here with a group of friends for a get together. Glad we made reservations as locals seemed to make it the place to be. Decor and seating was average but they did have gluten free options for dinner. It's a good option if your in the city and looking for a solid place to eat for celiacs. Upstairs offered... More

The upstairs lounge with pool and ping pong tables at Safari is an ideal place for a birthday party of any age. Its also really good value for approximately 20 bucks a person you can spend a couple of hours eating and drinking and celebrating with friends and family.

Stick to the drinks at Safari. Great beer selection and always a good crown. Pool tables upstairs. Overall, Safari is a solid uptown bar.

Staying in North End

Neighborhood Profile
North End
The North End is a nucleus of specialty food restaurants and shops, especially around its Mount Pleasant Village area. Frequented by antiquers for its numerous collectable shops, furniture spots, and oddity stores, the North End is a maverick of the quaint and quality. Vintage toy stores, accessory shops, and cinemas welcome perusers to step back in time, while the wide pedestrian squares and the large medical and business community inject it with a dose of modernity. With numerous cafes and Toronto's greatest number of independent booksellers, it isn't uncommon to see folks in this area at their leisure, reading outdoors and in eateries, and taking life a bit more slowly – even if it's only during their lunch break.
