Real Chinese cuisine, but you have to try the different ways of Cantonese food. The restaurant is particularly specialized on Dim Sum. We have tried a series of different starters and main dishes. All has been of excellent quality and freshness. The restaurant seems to be run by Chinese people and under the guests there have been many people from... More

We went for lunch on Canada Day while taking in all the sights at the harbour front. The food was delicious, the menu large, the service excellent and the prices very fair.

This restaurant is beautifully located on the first floor of Queens Quay Terminal with views South over Lake Ontario and all the boat and air traffic, and west over the Harbourfront entertainment complex. Panoramic window allow great views while dining if you are lucky enough to get one of the coveted window tables. Very extensive menu with all the expected... More

This place has been around for quite some time but did not know it existed until it was recommended by a friend. The food was excellent along with attentive service.

I recently took a late night dinner meeting at this restaurant. All the guests raved about the food. I don't know what they tasted in it that i didn't. There was nothing particularly special about any of it. the view is fantastic and the staff were amazing. attentive, quick to correct orders, and just generally great. but the food was... More

Good quality dimsum, try to visit for Saturday / Sunday brunch Dimsum carts. Book early to get a good spot with a waterfront view. Slightly expensive but worth it for the quality and the view.

My friend and I tried this place for the first time as we're both fond of dim sum. We apparently got there a bit on the early side as the carts hadn't started running, however, there was a dim sum menu on the table so we were able to get started. Once the carts did start running there was a... More

I love dim sum - and have been to many places in the city - have to say Pearl is my favourite Their 'pan fried hockey pucks' are a must, as are their stir fried long beans. Service is nothing special but in line with most dim sum places Prices are very reasonable for what you get - and views... More

We eat here every now and again. In summer, we like the view of the harbour and the activity of harbourfront. In winter, its drab and cold. But, the carts make up for it. When they have them. I don't mind ordering using those slips of paper (you can do this here) but it's much easier actually looking at something,... More

Staying in Downtown West

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
