Yikes!

This location is not in good shape. The menu was uninspiring and the service was not friendly (though honest about the food, directing us away from a specific burger). They're famous for sandwiches so try not to stray far from that. Though I have heard some of my friends to have pleasant... read more

PB's has always been hit n miss, however last few occasions, breaded wings have been excellent. However this time macaroni balls cold, jumbo shrimps over cooked and "sparrow wings" all cold. Plus the wings were so small, no breading, slimy and under cooked... and to rub it in 1lb of wings was only 9ozs... sorry someone needs a kick up... More

After my sister's interment, those who were present went to the Pickle Barrel on Leslie. I asked for milk for my tea and my son cream for his coffee. The mild never did arrive and by the time the cream arrived, the coffee was cold. We were a crowd of about 40 so things can get overlooked. Everyone enjoyed their... More

A motto lived up to here at Pickle Barrel. Comfortable space with cosy seating that even when very busy would allow conversation. The food is as always freshly prepared with plenty of options. Breakfast (served all day) lunch or dinner there is truly something for everyone. A nice family place that can accommodate large/small parties. You will not be disappointed.... More

Came here with my Mother after some shopping and thought that we'd try the super bowls I believe with quinoa. I had the one with salmon and my mum had the sante fe which she liked. The salmon was dry, didn't taste like their was dressing at all mixed in. When I complained I thought they would at least try... More

Greek salad was terrible. Small and not worth the cost. Smoked meat on challah with pickles and coleslaw....really? What happened to the pickles and coleslaw? Forget to pack it? Didn't know Dempsters made challah - nice try though...2 slices of white bread! 4 slices of a carrot with the chicken wings which were mushy and not crispy.....Probably rates as the... More

Everyone in our group of seven had Montreal style smoked meat, although in different variations. The waiter went through our order like a pilot doing his take-off check list, he even came back a couple of times to reconfirm some of our selections, and in the end everything came out OK. One pair ordered a meat plate consisting of smoked... More

Everything about my experience at this restaurant was disappointing. I have been to other Pickle Barrel locations and had acceptable meals. Our waiter barely gave us the time of day, and would barely let anyone finish their order before prompting the next person's order. The food preparation was just as rushed, with the sauce not mixed in at all in... More

There are really just a few restaurants I eat at that I ALWAYS eat the same thing at - okay, you caught me, really just ONE restaurant! And, you guessed it, it is the BBQ BEEF that catches my attention at the original Pickle Barrel, on Leslie Street in North York. Except the last time we visited just this past... More
