I went to Pantheon for dinner and I have to say that there is really nothing special about this place. The grilled calamari were like rubber and weren't very fresh. Everything else was bland and overcooked. Our server was also abrupt and not very willing to answer the questions we had about the menu. I will not be returning.

We came here for a girls' lunch on a weekday. I hear it gets packed quickly on the weekends but when we went, there were only a few tables- which was good because we were able to enjoy the quiet ambience. I got the chicken souvlaki dinner (small/ regular size is already good enough!). For the side, try ordering the... More

I took my cousins who were visiting from Holland to show them "Greek Town" on the Danforth because my husband is Greek. They had asked for real authentic Greek food and this restaurant had been recommended to us. It was very authentic and had great seafood and a good variety of Greek meals and appetizers. We sat at a beautiful... More

Two things I liked a lot here: the "light" option of meat, chicken or shrimp with salad, without the potatoes and rice that seem compulsory elsewhere on the Danforth, and the ability to substitute an excellent horiatiki for the standard salad. Portion of steak was more than enough without the starchy sides.

It is not the most nice restaurant I have ever seen but the food is really good. Service is quick and friendly. The guy who sings "happy birthday" its time to focus on the waiters duty.

My friend and I came at the recommendation of another friend. Delicious. We had the fried mushrooms then split an order of lamb souvlaki which was beautifully cooked to order (note: photo shows only half the order!) The wait staff were all very attentive and friendly. They brought us a piece of honey cake (?) to top off the meal.... More

This is a nice traditional greek restaurant where people go for the food not the show. We started with a Melitzanosalata and Humus as appetizers with great grilled pita bread to spread on. This we accompanied with a Chilean red wine. For the entree we shared a combo which had grilled calamari, octopus and several other greek goodies. The service... More

I hadn't been here for a couple of years and I was pleased to find that the quality of the food remains excellent. The service was also top notch. We ordered take out on this occasion and requested that the village salad come without onions - the person who took my order actually called back to clarify if we wanted... More

Staying in East End

Neighborhood Profile
East End
The East End is an eclectic amalgamation of areas that team up to make this district one of the most multi-faceted and alluring. Home to Toronto's LGBT community hub, Gay Village is alive and pumping day or night with friendly bars, nightclubs, and cafes – its thumb is on the pulse of excitement. For a more relaxed day, the East End has the largest collection of restored Victorian homes, and its stately streets, tree-lined and bursting at the seams with affluence, often sport farmers markets and street artists, epitomized by the effusive St. Lawrence Market. One of the most gorgeous of Toronto's neighborhoods, it also straddles Lake Ontario in an area called The Beach, where you'll find folks cycling and strolling along the sandy shorelines, getting some sun or enjoying shopping, dining, and pub options. For some fabulous food, the vivacious personalities running the restaurants in the East End's Greektown is only equaled by the fun and authenticity of the street stalls and restaurants at its expansive Indian Bazaar. 'Something for everyone' has never been so accurate.
