I love the tuna potato cakes (Tuesdays and Fridays only.....WHY ?!?! I wish they had them all week!) The meal comes with a fresh salad. The place can be busy and orders have been lost or confused....but I keep coming back for the delicious food and friendly service.

Had bacon eggs and toast. Low quality and microwaved.😕 Expensive for what you get. Service was friendly . Will never go back. If you have another option choose it.

An excellent spot on the Danforth offering a large variety of wholesome and interesting food choices. Venue is quite casual, service can be a bit slow, but the food is worth the wait. Definitely recommended.

This cafe is open all day but it is basically a breakfast and lunch place. They do not do the standard boring breakfasts! instead there are crepes with fruit or omelets with other than the usual fillings. For lunch here are excellent soups, empanadas and sandwiches on thick home-cut bread. There are also luscious desserts. You can help yourself to... More

This is the resto i go to with girlfriends when we want something freshly prepared and healthy (compared to fast food/burger joints) in a casual atmosphere. You order your food at the counter, grab your own water and your food is served to you at your table with your bill. Servers are friendly. Seating can be tight, and not too... More

This is a nice little place for breakfast. Their crepes and omlettes are pretty decent, but highly overpriced. A toast costs 3.50 bucks!! You can get whole loaf of bread for that. While I enjoyed my ham crepe the last time I went, this time I ventured into new territory and boy was I disappointed. If it wasn't for my... More

The food here is always tasty and the vibe is friendly and relaxed. My go to is the quesadilla and the african chicken stew is spicy and amazing. The salads are great and are made with a house dressing that is superb...they sell it , too. Bread is chewy and very wholesome. Top off your meal with a coconut macaroon...yummy!!!!

I am lucky enough to live near this restaurant. It is my go-to place for breakfast or brunch. The food is always fresh. The atmosphere is super friendly. Their sandwiches are also wonderful. It is a great place to meet a friend and hang out over some good food for a few hours!

Staying in East End

Neighborhood Profile
East End
The East End is an eclectic amalgamation of areas that team up to make this district one of the most multi-faceted and alluring. Home to Toronto's LGBT community hub, Gay Village is alive and pumping day or night with friendly bars, nightclubs, and cafes – its thumb is on the pulse of excitement. For a more relaxed day, the East End has the largest collection of restored Victorian homes, and its stately streets, tree-lined and bursting at the seams with affluence, often sport farmers markets and street artists, epitomized by the effusive St. Lawrence Market. One of the most gorgeous of Toronto's neighborhoods, it also straddles Lake Ontario in an area called The Beach, where you'll find folks cycling and strolling along the sandy shorelines, getting some sun or enjoying shopping, dining, and pub options. For some fabulous food, the vivacious personalities running the restaurants in the East End's Greektown is only equaled by the fun and authenticity of the street stalls and restaurants at its expansive Indian Bazaar. 'Something for everyone' has never been so accurate.
