Absolutely perfect steak frite (not authentically French but more delicious for it) - very tender and perfectly cooked striploin with black garlic butter on top. Incredible chips. Excellent value for money (we are from the UK and it was unbelievable to us that wine, 3 courses - with steak for mains - and coffee could come in at $120). Excellent... More

Visited on a busy Saturday night...the place was hopping! Our table of 4 ordered steak, chicken & fish & were unsure what wine to have. The owner provided us with a "tasting" of about 3 or 4 wines to let us choose. Food was good...atmosphere was better!

I was a regular whilst residing in the area during the wintertime 2014. I enjoyed Christmas time at the cafe. Restaurant, as singers from the Ukraine dressed in traditional costumes sang from the bar. It was truly enjoyable. The crepe and wine a coffees were very good. Tasty, I returned a few times for supper. I liked the food, portion... More

We hadn't been since your Kensington Market days. We visited frequently then, and were big fans. Finally we returned and you welcomed us as if we'd never left! Great menu, fairly ambitious in scope for this day and age, but beautifully executed. No doubt sticking to what you do best has served you well. Four of us, all had the... More

A friend recommended La Palette, however he preferred their lunch menu, the dinner was disappointing and overpriced , Prix Fixe which translates to fixed price offers an appetizer, entree and dessert. We found the Escargots La Palette - Fried escargots with foraged mushrooms, lemon, parsley, and garlic mayonnaise well presented but disappointing. Poisson - Roasted sablefish fillet, pumpkin celeriac purée,... More

This is a little french restaurant in Queen West - Kensington Market. They serve french traditional dishes. The food is good. I enjoyed so much all three creme brulee. I really loved the service they were friendly and we're open to talk and chat with. This place is convenient for me and definitely satisfies the cravings.

In summer, the triple sliding front doors open the restaurant to the hustle and bustle of Queen Street. Its decor is rustic french, with very high tin ceilings and brick walls. Prices are reasonable for Queen West but about 20% higher than they should be. That said, the food is good, lots of duck items as you expect on a... More
