Excellent service, had the scallops as appetizers, salmon as the main course. Both super fresh, and good portions I would recommend this place to my friends and family.

This Resturant located in Little Italy came highly recommended but was highly disappointing. The portions were very small. The salmon slice wasn't even 4 cm thick. The server was instructed "no peppers" what was on the plate, peppers. The seafood linguine had a few tiny mussels, no scallops as indicated on the menu, 3 shrimps and a few teeny tiny... More

Friends and I were strolling College Street in Toronto and we came across this lovely, small and intimate restaurant. We were welcomed by the waiter who was most accommodating until we decided where we wanted to sit! After deciding to dine "al fresco", our waiter was most helpful in suggesting wine and dinner selections. The house pino griggio was excellent!... More

My husband booked a reservation here on Open Table. We have never been before but love many of the restaurants in this buzzing neighbourhood. We had no expectations except a good Italian meal...somehow they made it so much more. The service was impeccable---always someone available when you needed something, but not 'hovering'. All the servers were incredibly friendly and service-oriented.... More

My partner and I went here about 5 years ago for dinner. It was an occasion, and I remember that we really liked it. With so many Italian restaurants in Toronto, it is easy to forget how good so few are, La Forchetta is one of the last really amazing Italian restaurants left in "Little Italy" in Toronto. I went... Ate here after strolling down college street and was enticed in by the nice décor. We ate off the set pre fixe menu which was great value at $30 per person for 3 courses, obviously this menu was limited compared to the a la carte but the choice was still plentiful. I had mussels to start, sea bass main and... More

Went for dinner with a friend. Had the scallops for starters which were delicious. Had the seafood risotto and sea bass for mains accompanied with a carafe of white wine. Food was very nice and tasty. Portions were big and reasonably price. I would go back again

I still remembered a great dining experience at la Forchetta more than 15 years ago. Kept saying how great this restaurant is, yet never returned. Was it in fear that the proper polite waiters, impeccable service and delicious food would have changed and disappointed me now? Perhaps... or was it my big city attitude to try things new in passing... More

Staying in Little Italy

Neighborhood Profile
Little Italy
Toronto's Little Italy is a city hotspot for cafe culture and nightlife. There's something for everyone in Little Italy, apparent from the cross-section of clubbers in glitzy dresses, and elderly couples arm-in-arm heading to their favorite wine or pasta spot. Cafes spill onto the wide sidewalks, pool lounges and bars are always teeming with noise and activity, and both outdoor and indoor marketplaces are packed with fresh fish, cured meats, and pungent cheeses. All of the activity makes it a perfect spot for people-watching, especially over a nice glass of red wine or a quick and sumptuous slice of pizza at one of the many eateries or trattorias in the area.
