I'm in love with the cheese empanadas at this place, those paired with the yummy salsa they make is one of my favorite treats. This time I also got some mini beef empanadas the meat was so moist and tasty. The place itself is very hot inside so be prepared to sweat a little in the summertime waiting for the... More

A large selection of emapanadas baked all day long so always fresh. Owned by the same lady since it opened about 25 years ago.

Awesome flavour - delicious. The salsa is unique and in demand. Unpretentious and if you happen to be in Kensington Market a fabulous place for lunch. Order at the counter - semi-self serve and a lot of regulars. Bit (huge) empanadas.

Don't blink, as you might walk right by this place. The Kensington area is a must-go for tourists and locals alike. A visit to Kensington is not complete with devouring a couple jumbo Empanadas. Ask for extra (spicy) salsa on the side. To die for. Enjoy!

inside the Kensington market. really little but full of people. also recommended by tourist guides. There are few possibilities of typical chilean food, particularly the Empanadas. you can buy or even stop and eat on site. good but not fantastic

Someone had recommended the corn pie and it was excellent. Very large and great to share. We ordered a few small chicken empanadas to try as well. All good! Small place with nice outdoor seating too. Cash or debit only. The prices are spot on. Recommend this little hidden gem in Kensington market.

The empanadas were ok, I had the beef. I guess I was expecting something spicier. The Chilean salad was awesome and the patio was small but comfortable.

After putting this off for a long time...I broke the diet rules and tried it out. A tray of fresh beef and beef & veggie empanadas were just brought out from the kitchen. I went for the beef/veggie. Basically, it was just veggie and not even tasty! It was like a pre-packaged soup mix of some kind - nothing authentic... More

Wow, what a find! I just love the empanadas "Jumbo" makes. They are among the best if not the best even in comparison with the ones you get in Chile. The big secret is the crust and Irene's are just perfect. You can eat everything including the folded sides. I prefer the meat empanada although you can also go for... More
