My go to for those very special occasions in Toronto. Great food, great staff in this artsy restaurant that has been a Toronto icon for decades! Intimate yet family friendly. Thank you Joso for all the fond memories!

Italy in a downtown Toronto. Amazing place, very nice decorations. Food was very good, not cheap but if you can afford it, it defiantly worth a visit. Great for special occasions!!!! Risotto is a must!!!! Tiramisu one of the bests i had....

I was excited for my first visit to thus restaurant after reading the reviews, but was let down. Decor is fun. Service was excellent. The shrimp and Calamari was good...well the shrimp portion was delicious. But the risotto was lacklustre. No wow factor. And for the price, nowhere near worth it. I don't mind paying $130 for lunch if I'm... More

There are a few formulas that are protected because they are soo good and the original has not been equalled. If you are visiting Toronto and are into seafood and the best most innovative pasta dish that I have ever tasted make a reservation at JOSO's. We had dinner tonight (SEPT 15) and as I have been enjoying for about... More

You have to taste it for yourself. Some of the best seafood I've had in Toronto. An extra treat - the owners are artists and the place is littered with their amazing work.

My sisters, husband and I went here with a few of our other friends a couple weekends ago for the first time. We had heard amazing things, and sure enough this intimate, fun restaurant didn't disappoint!!! The service was great - attentive but not overbearing, the food was to die for and the wine list extensive! It truly felt like... More

The seafood is prepared in a very simple manner but it is cooked to perfection. When the quality of seafood is good, simplicity is the best. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our meals and the restaurant ambiance, which is very unique.

Joso's is an intimate restaurant. It is one of the higher end restaurants, but worth every dollar. The staff and manager are warm and welcoming. If your palate enjoys seafood and fish this is the place for you. The risotto activates every taste bud in your mouth, fantastic. The flavour of the muscles and clams lingers on. The grilled prawns... More

I'm from a coastal province and so I know and enjoy seafood. This is a lovely, quant restaurant that serves high quality, fresh seafood. I particularly enjoyed the Black Alaskan Cod they had that night. Good service, comfortable surroundings and delicious seafood! I'd recommend giving it a shot.. You might get hooked!

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown is a dynamic part of Toronto with some of its most stylish high-rise residences and heritage buildings. The area sees busy shoppers with bag-laden arms balancing lattes in paper cups as they travel from one luxury brand to the next, taking advantage of the proximity of high-end shops. The reflecting pools, jogging trails, and nature treks of the Rosehill Revision are always a hub of outdoor activity, and after a workout from either running or splurging, many take advantage of the spas and massage parlors Midtown has to offer. Away from the bakeries, boutiques, and glamorous old theaters of the district's center, locals use the weekend to embrace the more suburban feel of Midtown's parks, tennis courts, outdoor markets, and the manicured grounds of Casa Loma, while families indulge the area's state-of-the-art playground and learning facilities. Of course, no high-brow district is complete without a healthy counter-culture: Midtown boasts some of the wildest street art and full-wall graffiti of any neighborhood in Toronto.
