Some excellent Traditonal dishes. I like the sautéed tomatoes, dips, fried eggplant hummus with meat, skewers and generally everything. Hasn't changed in 30, 40 years. Been there dozens of times. A little tired atmosphere but you can't beat the good.

My Dad first took me for dinner here in the 70's to the Eglinton location, the lamb back then melted in your mouth and still does. The Baba Ganoush is wonderful. It is a very busy location and very noisy so if your looking for a romantic dinner this isnt the place. My father was very friendly with the owner... More

Every time I'm in Toronto, visiting this place is a must! The whole staff is awesome.. We've even done take out and never been disappointed! My favorite is the eggplant ! Reservations are a good idea as it's quite popular!

Jerusalem Restaurant exceeded my expectation. Was more authentic that expected and the selection was very nice to see. The peta bread was spot on along with their middle eastern flare. Will be returning as soon as I can.

While lost and hungry en route to Yorkdale when we noticed this bright Jerusalem sign. Wondering what this place was like we took a chance and walked in. What a lucky find it was! The portions were generous and the food was delicious. We ordered the dinner for two for $41 and it was worth the price. So much food... More

Jerusalem is probably one of the best Middle-Eastern restaurants mid-town Toronto. Year after year, we keep enjoying our lunches and dinners at Jerusalem. The portions are generous and pricing affordable. In some restaurants, the lamb chops often look like samples. Not so at Jerusalem! I wholeheartedly recommend them. The owners are not stingy and the quality is always reliable. As... More

I have been to this restaurant many times over the years and the service and food quality have remained consistently very good...... excellent beef kabobs made from filet mignon cut of beef, fried tomatoes are excellent & the best hummus I've had in Toronto. Highly recommended by this diner!

Staying in York-Crosstown

Neighborhood Profile
York-Crosstown is a sleepy area of Toronto dotted gorgeously with hills and farmland, stately homes and parks. An affluent district in parts, the stately houses at Baby Point along Jane Street are especially breathtaking, and make for a lovely wander on a clear day. Parks are bountiful in York-Crosstown, which makes it a vibrant area for outdoor play and sports, providing a break from the hustle of Toronto's busy, jam-packed city center. For a little spice after a walk in the park, the Little Jamaica area of York sports cheap, authentic food from the Caribbean. This area is restful and more orientated towards outdoor activity and the exploration of nature.
