Newly expanded the atmosphere which was always lively is now not as noisy. The food is outstanding and the service personal and friendly.

I am visiting Toronto for three days and this is the best restaurant I had in town! I had the beef carpaccio as my appetizer and seared scallop with bacon risotto as the main, the quality of the beef is really good and the flavor of risotto is amazing! I think it's the best risotto I have ever had! It... More

Amazing amazing delicious food for cheap! I have been to many fine dining restaurants but the flavour is nowhere near. Cool funky atmosphere. Must try the meatball and the Calamari and shrimp (fried) delicious! Every single appetizer on the menu is delicious and the mains are amazing too. But I usually end up ordering almost all the appetizers and have... More

I love this place! The food is like I'm eating at an authentic Italian home. The atmosphere is fun as is the wait staff.

The "Nose" is a great, modern Italian restaurant with great music, cocktails and of course, Italian food. Everything was good! We had the giant meatball to start, it was fantastic. After some hesitation, I ended up getting the gnocchi (something I don't normally order) and it was amazing! They did a great job tying all their flavors together with the... More

Many reviews of the "Nose" have mentioned spotty service - which we have not experienced, but the place does get very very busy and very loud so communication might be an issue. We have eaten in the vault a couple of times - which is literallly the old bank vault. In this place you are away from the general noise... More

I love the food and the atmosphere. The variety and wonderfulness of the side dishes divine. The inhouse tartuffo made me feel like I was twenty years old. I have eaten wherever Gio laid his Nose these last decades, and always it is perfect, fun, yummy and relaxed. But not to make the food sound blase, or normal, it is... More

Really tasty food here but the service was average bordering on poor. Our waitress disappeared mid meal never to be seen again (except at the bar!...drinking...shift over?) and left us to whoever was walking around. The music is unnecessarily loud for "fine dining". But the food...

Went here for dinner on a Saturday night as a group of eight. Be aware that they do not split the check, it says so at the bottom of the menu but none of us noticed it. Food: Buffalo mozzarella and tomato salad was delicious. Giant meatball was very good. Gnocchi was OK. The crispy chicken meal is very small,... More

Staying in East End

Neighborhood Profile
East End
The East End is an eclectic amalgamation of areas that team up to make this district one of the most multi-faceted and alluring. Home to Toronto's LGBT community hub, Gay Village is alive and pumping day or night with friendly bars, nightclubs, and cafes – its thumb is on the pulse of excitement. For a more relaxed day, the East End has the largest collection of restored Victorian homes, and its stately streets, tree-lined and bursting at the seams with affluence, often sport farmers markets and street artists, epitomized by the effusive St. Lawrence Market. One of the most gorgeous of Toronto's neighborhoods, it also straddles Lake Ontario in an area called The Beach, where you'll find folks cycling and strolling along the sandy shorelines, getting some sun or enjoying shopping, dining, and pub options. For some fabulous food, the vivacious personalities running the restaurants in the East End's Greektown is only equaled by the fun and authenticity of the street stalls and restaurants at its expansive Indian Bazaar. 'Something for everyone' has never been so accurate.
