Great food and wine selection, attentive service and generous portions. The prawns were so flavourful, I couldn't get enough of the sauce and just about rolled out of there!

Terrible experience. Waited 5 minutes to be given a menu and a further 10 to get a staff member to talk to us. After waiting nearly an hour for food I was given a dish with a hair in it. It was replaced with a new dish but we waited a further 5 mins for rice to arrive. We also... More

We went there with our two kids just before catching a Mirvish show. The lunch buffet had a lot of variety but the food was not that good. The butter chicken, which is the only Indian dish my kids eat, was cold. My 10 year old said it was too cold to eat, and it was! The naan bread was... More

Just went here for lunch after taking a stroll trying to find a place that piqued my interest. Decided that an Indian buffet would provide some choices at a reasonable price point. First impression upon being seated was not positive - they came to propose a mango lassi, which would normally be an acceptable offer, but the glass they put... More

Don't be put off by the entrance to this place, it's just a door on the street leading to the restaurant upstairs. The food and the service were both very good, and reasonably priced.

Don't bother with Just-Eat or anything. These guys will do it directly, and they're very kind and accommodating. Also, yea, the food is killer. Best butter chicken out there.

I watched the chef on OMNI TV today. Here is what I found out about this man who is the chef at this restaurant. Watched Masala Magic Recipes today (Saturday 11/12 at 4:00 PM on Omni. PK Ahluwalia was cutting chicken with his BARE hands for a dish and after the did this, without a TV cut, he picked up... More

Last time here definitely now. Each time it goes downhill. This time the buffet was average and it all looked old and worn in there. Pink chicken... I was eating the chicken cubes whole but eventually sliced in to a few. Most definitely pink on the inside. Not to the point where it was ridiculous but enough for me to... More

What happened to this place? My wife and were spending an evening in Toronto and decided that we should treat ourselves to relaxing dinner. We had not dined at an Indian restaurant in several years. We thought this would a good night to do it. We chose Dhaba based on a glowing review in Toronto Life Magazine. Well, the first... More

Tried here on an off chance as we were staying in the Hyatt almost opposite. The food was very tasty, although my wife said the halibut had more sauce than fish. However, nicely served & presented by pleasant staff. Overall pretty good & didn't get the negative vibes that others reported. Would return if ee eere here longer.

Staying in Downtown West

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
