The food at Canoe is consistently good and the view, weather permitting, fantastic. The staff is very attentive and professional making Canoe a great choice for business meals.

Service was excellent, views unbeatable, but don't go for the menu. One big room packed with tables. Couldn't hear conversation between four people way too noisy

This is a great restaurant. For lunch the service is quick and effective and the price is fairly reasonable. The lobster club is very good and the specials (at least today) were great. On a typical day the view is spectacular. Today is was okay at the beginning of the meal and then it was cloud obscured. Nonetheless the food... More

When I made the reservation online I mentioned that the dinner was to celebrate my son being called to the bar that day. Canoe did not disappoint in any way. We were given a table at the window with a spectacular view of the CN Tower and the city. As soon as we sat down our waiter congratulated my son,... More

Not normally a fan of the super high end restaurant, preferring lower key smaller places. But, Canoe consistently provides great Canadian inspired food, great service and a spectacular view from the top of Mies Van Der Rohe's iconic and impeccably maintained TD Bank Tower. It's worth the money especially at lunchtime, although probably would be absolutely lovely for a romantic... More

We had a nice meal with an excellent view that was breathtaking throughout the evening. Service was friendly and not too rushed which we appreciated. The only thing I would recommend is that the AC is turned a bit lower - I was a bit cold and I noticed other women putting on vests/jackets as well.

The Alberta Lamb Saddle was amongst the top meals we've ever tasted - true fine dining flavours and melt in the mouth perfection. But the Cerf de Boileau Venison was average at best and the desserts weren't a pleasant ending. The dining room was nice, beautifully lit, with stunning views of the city and the open kitchen. Service was top... More

First class establishments get there by doing many small things to prefection. The Canoe situated on the 54th floor of the TD Tower has a great view, warm ambiance and professional staff that demonstrates a passion for pleasing their clientel. But go for the food and wine list and your palet will be in for a treat. It is without... More

Canoe is obviously an expensive high-end restaurant. There is also a small bar with a great view of to lake Ontario. Good place to drop in for a drink to enjoy the view,

Thank goodness I was not paying for this restaurant visit. I was part of a private party attending a dinner. As we got off the elevator the incredible view took our breath away. In the private dining room the service was 5-star. The description of the meal choices made it a challenge to decide what to choose. Then the food... More

Staying in Downtown West

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
