We were seated at a window table. Our server Shawn was attentive. Some of his recommendation were good but the back of the house had a bit to be desired. I had ordered the oysters and there was broken shell in one of the 6 you get-this should never happen-I could have broken a tooth. The duck was to thickly... More

Lots of positive reviews all over, so our splurge dinner in Toronto was here. And we're still talking about it. Professional, yet friendly, staff. Food that gave us a sense of all that Canada has to offer. Flavors and combinations that played off each other and all exquisitely prepared. And that view. Go as close to sunset as you can... More

One of us is a regular here but it was the first time we tried the tasting menu with matching wines. It was just fabulous with exquisite tastes and surprises. Service as ever is superb. The best place in town with views to die for.

I met with several business associates here. The atmosphere was lively and staff were welcoming and attentive. Most difficult bit was choosing what to have -there is a fantastic selection of food creations and fine wine, between us we covered a wide selection and we are all foodies - not a single grumble just clean plates. Difficult to call out... More

Just sitting and watching out over the city and bay to the island gives you an appreciation for how beautiful it is away from the skyscrapers. The food is a mix of old food ideas with a twist. The butter tarts are to die for.

We meant to catch the summer special but missed it by a few days. The hostess steered us to an all Canada special that was meant to start the next day but was available the day we visited. The food was fantastic and the service awesome. Save the money that you don't spend on the CN tower and get a... More

Great view, of course, from the top of the TD building. Overlooking the harbor, the sunset, the planes taking off from the island, the island itself and the lake beyond. Solicitous service. A warm welcome at the captain's stand with true congeniality and no snobbishness. The wait staff were careful to avoid interference with our conversation or rushing our evening,... More

This was definitely one of the best meals we've ever had. The creativity, presentation, and quality of the ingredients was incredible. We started with the $75 seafood variety platter as an appetizer to share between the 3 of us. What a terrific choice! It featured a number of sushi-grade raw fishes as well as some seafood salad combinations. I'd highly... More

I went for a business lunch - there were four of us - and we absolutely loved this place. The view from the 54th floor is breathtaking. We were fortunate enough to have a beautiful sunny day and you could see for miles. The service is top notch and the food is incredible. This place is a "must do" while... More

My son age 12 loved the view, and we enjoyed the food steaks cooked perfectly and watching the cooks cook in the kitchen from our table.

Staying in Downtown West

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
