The blame goes 100% to the chefs who we were disorganised and untalented. The Duck pizza was hands down the worst pizza I have ever been served. They mixed the dough with pesto but it was so dense and soggy it was both overcooked and raw. Took an hour to arrive too despite the fact there was only 2 other... More

Food was excellent and ambiance can't be beat. Not a good choice if you're in a hurry but we thoroughly enjoyed relaxing and people-watching from our table on the patio. I had the salmon, which was prepared with a fantastic, light butter sauce, and my husband had steak, which was also terrific. Lovely way to spend our last night in... More

Tiny patio in the front on a busy treelined street was just like a Paris bistro. We started with the brie and bacon salad which was to die for and large enough for two to share. We both had lamb chops in a blueberry reduction with mashed potatoes and vegetables...wonderful! We finished with a shared Creme Brule. Small but decent... More

I must have the worst luck with some of these restaurants getting great reviews. I've been here twice and both times were awful. The last time takes the cake. Went for lunch with a group from work...waited an hour for our food. Can't fault the two waiters - I didn't see anyone but those two for the whole restaurant, and... More

I have been here a couple of times. Food is always fresh and tasty. I was next door at a restaurant today and wish I had gone here instead.

They expect you to receive 18% tip at the end as they claim that it is the average rate within the city...!? They overly try to show their high quality of customer service by coming by your table frequently. Now we learned why. The food was nothing special but greasy and burned. Will go to another restaurant that would accept... More

The Groupon deal was good. But at the end, you receive $15 or more tips at the end as well as tax on the Groupon purchase (they tax on the tax on the bill as well). Felt ripped off:(. It was a tearful surprise in the end:(. The customer service is great. The atmosphere is cozy. It is very small... More

I went with a friend for dinner and we had a lovely meal. I ordered from the fixed price menu starting with a very large salad, then I had the seafood pasta which was delicious and then finished with a creamy creme brulee for desert. I also had a cappuccino which had a very nice flavour and good foam. I... More

This place was cute quaint and small with about 6 tables but service was friendly and prompt. Food was OK not something we will remember for a long time to come. The goatcheese and green salad we had ordered as starter was not very inspiring. Anyway, we were a bit surprised by a charge of $15 per couple for gratuity which... More

This restaurant is located in a very charming pocket of the city, and itself has a very eclectic and inviting feel. The service is great, and the food is excellent, mostly French or mediterranean dishes. Very laid back atmosphere, and wonderful for brunch as well.

Neighborhood Profile
Chinatown
Toronto's main Chinatown has the honor of being the largest in North America. Gaping down across Dundas Street West and Spadina Avenue, the area is a wonderful medley of shops and restaurants, busy signs and bright red gates, a destination for foodie fun. Chinatown's streets are always bustling, packed with people and outdoor stalls hawking fresh produce and products. The restaurants and authentic marketplaces that shoulder in against each other display shining roast ducks and menus studded with dumplings and noodle bowls. The air is pervaded with music. different languages, and the smell of fried food and mouth-watering desserts. Chinatown's restaurants represent a broad range of fare, from traditional Szechuan and Shanghai foods, to other Asian delicacies, including some of the top Japanese, Vietnamese, and Korean spots in the city. Whether you're in the mood for a sit-down tea house or a bubble tea to go, Chinatown is the spot to enjoy an exciting walk and the promise of leaving satisfied.
