Friendly service, cozy setting, and great food at a reasonable price. We had brunch...it didn't blow me away but would definitely try it again.

I first went to the original Cafe La Gaffe in Kensington Market about 30 years ago. I moved out of town for 15 years and decided to go back. Loved it. Great value. Delicious menu. Great service. Still amazing after all these years. I'll be back!

I had lunch on a Sunday with friends at Cafe La Gaffe. The portions of salad and fruit were generous along with my main. With the dark red walls covered in art, the atmosphere is very cozy. The service was prompt, attentive and very friendly.

Our appetizers, grilled calamari with green salad was very good. The confit de canard was very good. The mahi-mahi excellent. The creme Brule was close to being very good. The chianti - there's just one - was excellent, as was the romantic atmosphere of this small 8 - 10 table cafe. They also have 4 or 5 tables out front.... More

Visited Café La Gaffe the other day with 2 friends who I had not seen for some time. A perfect spot for such an occasion as they never once rushed us away...in fact inviting us to linger as long as we liked. We followed the hostess to a table on the back patio. It was kind of like the feeling... More

Had a delightful meal on their covered patio during a series of sunshowers. Great food options and flexibility with some special requests.

The blame goes 100% to the chefs who we were disorganised and untalented. The Duck pizza was hands down the worst pizza I have ever been served. They mixed the dough with pesto but it was so dense and soggy it was both overcooked and raw. Took an hour to arrive too despite the fact there was only 2 other... More

Food was excellent and ambiance can't be beat. Not a good choice if you're in a hurry but we thoroughly enjoyed relaxing and people-watching from our table on the patio. I had the salmon, which was prepared with a fantastic, light butter sauce, and my husband had steak, which was also terrific. Lovely way to spend our last night in... More

Tiny patio in the front on a busy treelined street was just like a Paris bistro. We started with the brie and bacon salad which was to die for and large enough for two to share. We both had lamb chops in a blueberry reduction with mashed potatoes and vegetables...wonderful! We finished with a shared Creme Brule. Small but decent... More

I must have the worst luck with some of these restaurants getting great reviews. I've been here twice and both times were awful. The last time takes the cake. Went for lunch with a group from work...waited an hour for our food. Can't fault the two waiters - I didn't see anyone but those two for the whole restaurant, and... More
