Fantastic breakfast just opposite the Holiday Inn Toronto Downtown Centre. Colourful and welcoming venue. I have never seen a breakfast menu like this. A wide range of food available with lots of healthy and sinful options at a fair price. Good courteous service too. Best breakfast ever and if I am back in Toronto it will be on the itinerary.

We've just discovered Cora's, first in Mississauga and now in Carlton Street, Toronto. They are very good for breakfast and brunch and reasonably priced. Service is good, too. If you want something different, try a Louis the Undecided - it's eggs, bacon and potatoes accompanied by a crepe filled with banana, strawberry and chocolate spread. Savoury and sweet, but needs... The presentation of the food here is really imaginative, but the prices are pretty high for what you get. In a city full of other brunch places, this one comes off seeming a little generic.

I've never been to a breakfast specialist cafe before and it was fantastic. Very colourful inside, staff are really friendly and the food is great at a reasonable price.

I have many dietary restrictions, but Cora's was able to meet my needs, and satisfy my appetite! Well done! I ordered an omelette with goat cheese and it was delicious, served with a side of fresh fruit, and tomatoes in place of home fries. Since it is a chain, I will look forward to dining at a 'Cora's' again soon.

There are a lot of traditional breakfast choices, but even if you just want bacon and eggs and toast they have that too. It seemed a bit expensive for the "regular" breakfast items but the portions are huge. We went on a Sunday morning and it was pretty busy but the turnover seems pretty fast.

Went here because it was opposite our hotel, a bright welcoming diner which was busy but had a good feel about it we liked it as soon as we stepped in. My breakfast ( Eggs Benedict) was a work of art which we took photographs of,not only was it good to look at it was very tasty, our server was... More

Anyone that has eaten at Cora's knows that you usually leave stuffed from one of their breakfast options. This location is no different and the quality and quantity of their meals are great. Our server was very polite and cheerful which is a good thing for first thing on a Sunday morning. You won't be disappointed if already a fan... More

We've had breakfast twice here because the menu is huge to choose from but full of options that also include fruit on most of not all dishes which I personally think is brilliant. The waitresses don't stop buzzing around and we had super service from Alyssa on our first visit and she recalled up on our second which was nice.... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
