We were looking for a place to have a late lunch/early dinner, with a patio, on a hot summer's day. Chose this place in Little Italy. GREAT choice. Best sangria.Really. Loved the antipasto platter di casa. Then I had the veal parm, which came with a ton of pasta. Lots of food, authentic Italian, at great prices here. This made... More

If you like a great restaurant with an authetic neighborhood feel then this is definitely the place to go. The cuisine is great, the service is fantastic and the outside terrace is to die for. Have the whitefish Putanesca and try some gelati!

Oldest patio in the city, prime location in one of the coolest hoods in the world...what could be better than this? The food! We've been going here once in awhile, for years. The food has always been watered down, bland, mediocre Italian, but the prices were modest and the atmosphere inviting. The menu has been changed to one of those... More

My husband and I dined here, for lunch, 2 days ago/Sunday, for our first visit to Little Italy. We had heard about this restaurant from family, and decided to try it, and walked quite a ways to get to it. It was a beautiful, spring day, with lots of people eating there, choosing the spacious patio area, to eat at.... More

We visited the cafe for the first time on Sunday for brunch. It was very busy and they were able to accommodate our table of 6. It seems that they were very short staffed and the waitress kept apologizing for taking so long. We had pizza and sandwiches and desert. Pizzas were very good, the sandwiches were very good and... On a whim, seeing the restaurant, suddenly my fiance and I were craving Italian food. Walking in and being seated immediately made us feel like we were visiting family. The quaint spot and friendly service made us feel like we were regulars. My fiance tried the pasta al forno and I had the salmon. Both were incredible! The portion size... More

Staying in Little Italy

Neighborhood Profile
Little Italy
Toronto's Little Italy is a city hotspot for cafe culture and nightlife. There's something for everyone in Little Italy, apparent from the cross-section of clubbers in glitzy dresses, and elderly couples arm-in-arm heading to their favorite wine or pasta spot. Cafes spill onto the wide sidewalks, pool lounges and bars are always teeming with noise and activity, and both outdoor and indoor marketplaces are packed with fresh fish, cured meats, and pungent cheeses. All of the activity makes it a perfect spot for people-watching, especially over a nice glass of red wine or a quick and sumptuous slice of pizza at one of the many eateries or trattorias in the area.
