This place is absolutely amazing. We recently had our second visit here and it was even better than we remembered. We ordered the mozzarella bruschetta, Pepperoni Pizza with fries, and the meatball. It was the freshest tasting food I've had in a long time! Most restaurants unintentionally make you feel unwelcome when with a loud baby yet at this establishment... More

While strolling Little Italy, which I agreed has nothing to do with Italy, but it's a nice stroll , we stopped for a drink at the traditional Cafe. The service was super friendly , we were seated at the outdoor patio ideal for people watching. I was surprised by the huge screens they have projecting European soccer, for sure a... More

My friend wanted to revisit this place after 10 years. Our server was a young guy who was sloppy. He dropped drinks and when they brought the food it was almost spilled out of the plates. My friends ordered salad. Whatever salad we ordered, they all looked the same - romaine lettuce, one sliced tomato and then olives or cheese... More

A friend and I have started making a trip to Diplomatico our tradition after seeing bands at a nearby venue. The kitchen is open late enough to accommodate this and the staff are always very friendly. A personal pizza is affordable and filling. I get mine without cheese and they don't look at me like I'm a weirdo when I... More

You can't miss when you go for a pizza or panzerotto in Diplomatico. Family run for ages this is the oldest pizza place in Little Italy. I've been going there on occasion for a lunch over that last 20 years and you always get the same service and the same quality food. You know what to expect there and it... More

We were looking for a place to have a late lunch/early dinner, with a patio, on a hot summer's day. Chose this place in Little Italy. GREAT choice. Best sangria.Really. Loved the antipasto platter di casa. Then I had the veal parm, which came with a ton of pasta. Lots of food, authentic Italian, at great prices here. This made... More

If you like a great restaurant with an authetic neighborhood feel then this is definitely the place to go. The cuisine is great, the service is fantastic and the outside terrace is to die for. Have the whitefish Putanesca and try some gelati!

Oldest patio in the city, prime location in one of the coolest hoods in the world...what could be better than this? The food! We've been going here once in awhile, for years. The food has always been watered down, bland, mediocre Italian, but the prices were modest and the atmosphere inviting. The menu has been changed to one of those... More

My husband and I dined here, for lunch, 2 days ago/Sunday, for our first visit to Little Italy. We had heard about this restaurant from family, and decided to try it, and walked quite a ways to get to it. It was a beautiful, spring day, with lots of people eating there, choosing the spacious patio area, to eat at.... More

Staying in Little Italy

Neighborhood Profile
Little Italy
Toronto's Little Italy is a city hotspot for cafe culture and nightlife. There's something for everyone in Little Italy, apparent from the cross-section of clubbers in glitzy dresses, and elderly couples arm-in-arm heading to their favorite wine or pasta spot. Cafes spill onto the wide sidewalks, pool lounges and bars are always teeming with noise and activity, and both outdoor and indoor marketplaces are packed with fresh fish, cured meats, and pungent cheeses. All of the activity makes it a perfect spot for people-watching, especially over a nice glass of red wine or a quick and sumptuous slice of pizza at one of the many eateries or trattorias in the area.
