Visited here for dinner during a mid week get away. Food was outstanding - innovative - well presented and taste was phenomenal. Staff was very friendly attentive and knowledgeable. Truly is one of the top restaurants in Toronto by one of Canada's top chefs, bar none. This is a must try if you are in Downtown Toronto for any reason.

The restaurant is an excellent one for meeting with friends, which we have done on several occasions, and the food ,wine and ambience are very good. The restaurant has tasteful decor and is spacious enough to provide separation between tables. The four starter dishes were all fine(octopus, lobster poutine, seared tuna, and Caesar). Three of the four mains were also very good(lamb, black Angus steak, ravioli). My... More

We booked this restaurant during Summerlicious for a 21st birthday celebration for triplets . This was mentioned at time of booking. Not seeing anything on the Summerlicious menu that worked, we ordered from the main menu including the Tomahawk steak for two, one of the most expensive things on the menu. We also had fish tacos, oysters, pasta. Our food... More

Great location, excellent menu and service. Patio is well shaded so great for an outdoor business lunch even on a sunny day.

Visited for Summerlicious - as a frequent patron of ONE, I was expecting a similar experience with the calibre of both food and service. Knowing it was Summerlicious, I knew it might be a little lack lustre but was thoroughly disappointed with the service. The food was good, but not as amazing as I anticipated. I observed other tables also... More

We had the risotto and the halibut both were good and it was nice to dine outside. We tried to go back on Sunday but were closed.

We met two friends for a casual lunch at this well known downtown Toronto spot -- noted for being very much a place for "suits." Initially the service wasn't bad. But things went awry between our appetizers and main courses, and either the kitchen staff had fallen asleep or had gone out somewhere. Our server paid no attention to the... More

So I always have a weird opinion on these fixed menus. Like all inclusive a la carts. I feel if they are only making about 10 total items, that it should all be perfect always. Came here with my girlfriend so we shared all our meal portions. The watermelon soup appetizer was gross unless u like that sort of thing.... More

Was pleasantly surprised. Great friendly, efficient knowledgable service. Very good food beautifully presented. There were 3 of us: Appetizers were red pepper soup; shrimp tacos; tuna sashimi. All delicious. Mains: Turkey brie sandwich and my husband and I shared the Bymark burger since it is quite large for one person at lunch. We were surprised when our server brought our... More

Staying in Downtown West

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
