Our friends had been here before and suggested we come. It did not disappoint. It is a cosy, small friendly neighbour restaurant. The atmosphere is great, lots of energy. The food was very good. A must try is the toasted country bread aka squash on toast (think bruschetta, only squash, wonderful!). The cured meats were really good. And the toasted... More

Campo is a tiny neighborhood restaurant that does a great job with both Italian and Spanish dishes. It would be a great place to relax with desert and an espresso if the chairs were more comfortable.

This restaurant has everything for every occasion. I have been there with my husband for our anniversary and with friends just enjoying a casual dinner. I can't put into words how fantastic the atmosphere is and the staff beyond words. Chef Carlos made our romantic anniversary stand out from any other. Thank you for the wonderful enjoyable times spent at... More

Visited for a family birthday and very pleased. Enjoyed all the dishes tremendously. I personally tried the lobster salad - very good; the cured meats - solid; gnocchi - good, but I would probably pass on this dish: it's good, bit unexceptional; seafood pasta - very good - a nice, light tasting dish; the special - wild boar pasta in... We have been a few times and each time just reconfirms how great the food is. The atmosphere is also great. Small space and very intimate. A group of 10 also works well.

Great cozy spot with lovely staff. Fresh food and good ambience. Limited menu - salads and pastas so make sure you like it. The flavours were fresh with creative and lovely presentations.

Great neighbourhood spot with fantastic food and service. Quaint spot it was busy but we had reservations. We would have waited at the bar if need be, loved the decor. Started with some garlic bread and olives which turned out to be a perfect light app before our yummy pasta dinner. Wonderful fresh flavours and perfect portion sizes. Prices were... More

Sweet neighbourhood bistro that is family friendly and offers good quality food (love that bread and croissants are from Patisserie 27). Nice choice of entrees, tasty mimosas and aperol punch, service efficient and very friendly. Nice touch giving mothers a small basil plant. Definitely going back for dinner!

While wondering around looking for a spot for lunch after a morning class a friend of mine and I stumbled onto campo (although once i saw the sign I had recalled reading about it somewhere). The restaurant itself is really cute and clean (a little small but that made it cozy and feel warmer). The staff was amazing, really nice... More

Went for brunch. I ordered what sounded like a breakfast skillet of sorts (and I apologize, but I do not remember the name and their website is amazingly useless and doesn't list menu items). What I received was a couple of poached eggs floating in a watery, somewhat spicy broth, accompanied with a small stack of toast. $15. It didn't... More

Staying in York-Crosstown

Neighborhood Profile
York-Crosstown
York-Crosstown is a sleepy area of Toronto dotted gorgeously with hills and farmland, stately homes and parks. An affluent district in parts, the stately houses at Baby Point along Jane Street are especially breathtaking, and make for a lovely wander on a clear day. Parks are bountiful in York-Crosstown, which makes it a vibrant area for outdoor play and sports, providing a break from the hustle of Toronto's busy, jam-packed city center. For a little spice after a walk in the park, the Little Jamaica area of York sports cheap, authentic food from the Caribbean. This area is restful and more orientated towards outdoor activity and the exploration of nature.
