Both my daughter and I ordered the pad thai, which is a pretty tough dish to mess up, but it was not good at all...as in, neither of us finished our dish and we didn't take the rest home. Additionally, one trip down to the restroom makes you realize how unclean this place is. My daughter also got the sticky... More

We use to order a few times a month...have to repeat the same information every time, several times. Although they claim to accommodate special orders/allergies...we constantly had to call and send out food back because there were onions, mushrooms & green peppers in the food when we specifically requested these items not touch any of our food.

Please don't get fooled with the reviews. This place is not clean, just walking in will tell you a lot about this place. There is another place in 2 mins walk called Thai chef, it's a lot better.

I've been getting take out on and off from this restaurant for years. Without fail, there's always a lot of chicken in the ginger chicken or beef in the basil beef, as a couple of examples. But beware of the beef strips they are overdone and very chewy. The lamb smells old and no points for any shrimp dishes. Stick... More

I order Friendly Thai once a month. And the last few times have been getting worse. The consistency is never awake. And they have left out items a number of times when ordering for delivery. One of my most enjoyed dishes is the crispy beef. It's been rubbery, or to sauces that it's just becomes bartered beef. At a restaurant... More

The restaurant is small, and they cater to take out and delivery. While we were there the server helped a lady carry her dinner out to her car!!!. They are not afraid of spice. I like my thai food HOT and they accommodated!!!. My husband had Pad Thai and he said it was the best he has had since Thailand!

I love Thai food, it is my favourite type of cuisine and I when we go away I insist on at least one meal being Thai. The food here was very disappointing. It was tasteless and not well cooked lacking in the lovely flavours of thai food. Have been surprised by other reviews. Perhaps they were having a bad day...

We went to the Friendly Thai on Mount Pleasant Road (I could not find a listing for it here) and enjoyed it. We had regular Pad Thai with chicken, a curry Pad Thai with tofu, a lovely coconut chicken soup and a tofu with mango dish. All were delicious and tasty. Lots of chicken breast in the noodle dish and... More

Good Thai food and reasonably priced. We usually go for the assorted appetizer plate. It is enough for 203 people. The Thai iced tea is also a favourite.

Staying in West End

Neighborhood Profile
West End
The go-to area for new business start-ups, the spry and creative persona of the West End thrives along its streets. Its independent boutiques, galleries, restaurants, and shops offer brands that can't be found elsewhere. Buildings with ground floor consumer spaces sport up-top artist's lofts, and the West End attracts artists, designers, and fashion industry professionals to its living quarters. It is in the cross-hairs of gentrification, but still resisting it with ironic relish. Hot deals can still be found here on furniture and knick-knacks,. Its call to culinary glory is in its well-priced homemade Polish food, hosting Toronto's go-to spots for hot pierogis and cold borscht. High Park, the largest green space in the city, is a place for dreamers and poets to wander and rest, not to mention a number of energetic actors staging outdoor plays in the summertime.
