The seating is tight, but enjoyed the atmosphere. We sat in front of the kitchen and it was actually entertaining observing the food prep and interactions of the staff. Our server kept up with my high intake of water and wine, very attuned to our needs. The food was unique and the wine selection was quite good. This is the... More

I have had three meals here. The table service is spotty. Had some great service and other occasions sat for 10 minutes after food service waiting for cutlery. Food is inconsistent. Had some really great meals and others were just rather disappointing. Was here for my birthday and had the Cornish hen which was unexciting with rather dull sides. It... More

We were sited immediately. There were no line ups at five. The restaurant quickly filled up and there were people waiting. The servers were very polite explaining the different dishes in detail. The menu has something for everyone. I'm always worried because I'm a vegetarian but there was plenty to choose from. The restaraunt is modern but they have preserved... More

I've dined here on various occasions over the past few years and find the food to be inconsistent. The atmosphere isn't conducive for a business lunch or dinner as tables are placed within inches of each other. More importantly, the value is declining - $14 for a small "caesar salad" that turned out to be a disappointing pile of shredded... More

We hadn't made a reservation so we were lucky as this place is busy all the time! We had a great table against the wall. Ordered wine pretty good selection. Our server was witty and very knowledgeable about the menu. The food was amazing! Can't wait to go again.

Business trip to downtown Toronto. Just quick search on TripAdvisor review and pick this one as it is nearby at night. Raw oysters are really fresh and tasty. 2 main courses on special. Scallop dish size is small for adult male. But the scallops were pan fried perfectly and the side veggies are surprising good. It blends well to support... More

This place seems to fly under the radar screen from a name perspective but is always busy with the everyday business person given its location at Yonge and Richmond. It is quaint and comfortable with a terrific ambiance. Food is great and prices well. Burgers are incredible. Also highly recommended.

Fresh, local food inspired by the Canadian spirit. Changing daily menu with good draft beer to accompany and delicious desserts to follow..

I had been here a few times before but forgot how excellent the good was. We shared a few things which included the cauliflower agnolotti, the trout and the pasta special which was a seafood fettuccine. Every dish was a 10/10! Restaurant was noisy but we were able to have a pleasurable time and could easily make conversation.

I've been to Richmond Station a couple of times now, always to visit with a colleague over lunch. The service is always exceptional. The food is always phenomenal! The prix fixe for lunch is served fast, is always an adventure in taste and texture. My one regret is that I have not yet been here for dinner. Richmond Station has... More

Staying in Downtown West

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
