Just walked out of this joint, but been here a lot. Bad: Inconsistent service, by which I mean that really only one server is any good. Today I was sitting for a good 10 minutes, no service, while the bartender just chatted forever with a patron. Odd part was I actually changed seats in hopes she would notice, but no... More

This is a good, laid back traditional Canadian pub in downtown Toronto. Friendly crowd, friendly waitresses. Good, cold beer. Limited, but adequate pub menu. Good place for meeting friends. Casual and relaxed environment.

Typical English Pub style with two separate rooms downstairs and more space upstairs. English pub-style food and Indian food. Food is good. The beer is cold, and if you prefer Gin, they carry Bombay Sapphire! The restaurant is very noisy, so don't plan on carrying on an intimate conversation!

What a find! Stumbled on this pub while staying at the nearby Comfort Hotel. Ate here twice and it would definitely be my local if I lived in the neighbourhood. It had the ambiance and feel of genuine village English pub of maybe 50 years ago. None of the fakery of the typical modern Irish, English, Scottish pubs prevalent throughout... More

Four of us recently met there for lunch. The interior has a sense of presence with a theme of the 'old' world. The front exterior seating is fun in the summer. The food has always been very good here. Wouldn't expect it, but it is. This time, the spinach salad was great. The wings were wonderful with fries on the... More

Found this Pub in the first night in Toronto. Went there three times in our holiday. Waiter was very friendly. The recommondations for the Drinks were perfect. The food (Steak and salad) was good too.

This is a great restaurant on a side street off Yonge St., just south of Bloor St. Outdoor patio, and I believe there was another patio on the second floor. The restaurant seemed to have a mix of locals and tourists and had that "friendly and relaxed" atmosphere. Service was fantastic, server neither hovered nor ignored, very professional. There are... Yummy pub lunch, courteous, attentive service and refreshing cider!! This venue has two main rooms, lots of seating in typical British Pub style and a delightful outdoor patio with umbrellas for dining alfresco. The price is right, too.

The food and services was good . The price was very resonable and I was pleasantly surprised . We needed to find a place and the patrons helped us find it . Very friendly I must say.

What this place has going for itself is its location just around the corner from the Panasonic Theatre and its outdoor patio. There also appeared to be quite a few regulars there who knew each other. The food is average, we ordered fajitas and a BLT, had better that's for sure. It was mid-day when we visited, just before a... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
