Had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant during Summerlicious, 2016. It did not dissapoint. The choices for each serving were plentiful and the quality of food outstanding. Our party of 3 ordered the veal osso bucco for our main; all items were piping hot and the meat practically fell off the bone. For 28. per person, it was definitely... More

Went with a couple of friends and everything that each of us ordered was tasty and in generous portions, which is even more surprising and wonderful during summerlicious. I especially loved my creme brûlée dessert! Love the area also as its a great little corner of Toronto with lots of nice restaurants.

Cute place in the Baldwin Village. I had a butternut squash soup to start which was fabulous. The main was a seafood pasta which was also incredible. The dessert was creme brule which I was disappointed in because it tasted like eggs. Also, I was seated right by the till and the bar so it was a very busy spot.

A group of us went for a "girl's night out". The place is small so I'm glad we had a reservation. Only 2 servers working the night we were there yet they took the time to answer a couple of questions we had about the wines offered. Wine list isn't extensive - more reds than whites ( I'm a red... I had a reservation for 2 this past Saturday night for 6:30p,. Plan was go have a nice dinner and take a cab over to the theatre for an 8pm show. We arrived at 6:25. The hostess saw our name on her list and told us that although we had a reservation there were no tables for us. We were... More

We were visiting family on a Saturday afternoon at the nearby hospitals. We were a part of four adults. We walked down Baldwin street and there were just a lot of options. We saw that there was no one in Valens. Given the fact that it was 3:30 pm in the afternoon, lunch crowd had been long gone. We chose... More

Had dinner with a friend here. Was totally happy with the place. Hard to describe the menu - somewhat eclectic. Everything from sandwiches to steaks. Food was tasty and priced right. Service was terrific. When I wanted some sparkling water and they were out, the waiter went out and got some for me. This is a place where it feels... More

A day downtown Toronto. Hoped for a vegetarian meal but they were closed and a thunderstorm was starting immediately. So we rapidly chose Valens. I had the seafood pasta. Service was very nice, even though the server informed us of his inexperience! First job as a server. Hats of to whoever is training him. Honesty is always appreciated. He did... More

Nice atmosphere, 25$ summerlicioius menu with one of the best restaurant I visited this year. Highly recommended. If that is waht you get for a fixed menu, the a-la-carte must be fabulous.
