There are so many great flavors to choose: delicious rich fruit flavors like Mango and Wild Berries. Rich chocolate and vanilla flavors too. I had to order a Large. And it is LARGE with 4 flavors. One of my favorites is the Coconut Cream also Tahitian Vanilla. When we arrived around 9 pm on a warm summer night, there was... More

Although in my view not quite up to the standard set by Greg's or Il Gelatiere, Hollywood Gelato serves very, very good gelato. It's a popular place, and service tends to be on the slow side, but there's nothing wrong with their product. I particularly like the cappucino gelato.

Fantastic gelato. The best in Toronto and probably most other cities. There is usually a line, which attests to the popularity of this spot, but it moves relatively quickly. The gelato is very flavourful. Our favourites are key lime pie, pear and coconut cream pie. With the pear, you will swear you are eating a real pear. A medium 3-scoop... More

Worth waiting for if there is a line-up. Many flavours. Great for kids. The store is small but they have a patio.

The gelato is superb and they have a multitude of flavors. The strawberry and creme caramel combo (one scoop of each) was really good. You can get the kiddy size which gives you a good scoop. A large is simply too much (maybe 😊 ). Not cheap though. The small cup is 5.50.

Not to be missed! The gelato here is as good as Italy. I understand that is because virtually everything in this spot comes from Italy. A huge selection of flavours and wonderfully prepared coffee make this a not-to-be-missed treat.

I have been here a few times and each time the staff were friendly, portions generous, and flavours delicious. Good value for the money.

Long line up that moved swiftly, but worth it. We ordered a small size, thinking the bowl would not yield much. Delighted to have more than we expected of lemon, mango and rich valhara chocolate.

You cannot find a yummier gelato, better service, and a more comfortable setting than Hollywood Gelato My wife lives for Rocky Rochet and I love more of a citrus flavour. The fact that it is all gone made from scratch is just amazing. Love this place and recommend it for anyone in the city looking for a really good ice... More

Staying in East York

Neighborhood Profile
East York
East York includes a portion of old, industrial Toronto. Densely populated but incredibly safe, it boasts some of the city's earliest gardens and gardening clubs, attracting green thumbs everywhere. The tranquility of the Don Valley River area, which is rich with Toronto's oldest and tallest forests, is supplemented by the large ensemble of authentic and refurbished Edwardian homes, giving parts of East York allure. The other draw is for foodies: lovers of Bangladeshi fare will find authentic restaurants and markets in the area, with raw spices and desserts. East York also represents a lot of Toronto's Serbian food culture, and recently, has had an outcropping of solid microbrewery stops. For families, the science center is a favored weekend stop.
