I really enjoyed this vegan fare. I went with two non-vegan friends and they really enjoyed the brunch as well. I ordered the waffles and (non) chicken with the home fries and everything was delicious. The service was quick and efficient and the server was very sweet. I will definitely go again the next time I am in the city.

I would not recommend Hogtown Vegan if you are looking for health food, but if you want a good solid meal, this is the place to go. My husband loved his Hogtown Burger and I had a great Seared Tofu Salad. The coconut ice cream was killer!

I've actually eaten here numerous times so this is more of a general review. Top 3 favourite items- fries supremacy, Caesar salad, and unchicken burger. The fish is also surprisingly good! Even my non veggie husband loved it! Yes, some of the items aren't stellar and yes, they are almost all deep fried and full of carbs but overall, this... More

Food is always delicious and with good sized portions. Service can be hit and miss depending on the day. Weekend dinner times are especially busy, prepare for a bit of a wait.

I went with my 2 sisters and we were really disappointed. Service was terrible. No one welcomed us, or enagaged with us at all. They literally showed up, and did their job without speaking. Food was OKAY. I had the bacon cheeseburger, like I've had good veggie burgers everywhere so this wasn't special. My sister had the trio - mac... More

I have a unchicken sandwich with poutine and it was UNREAL. So tasty. I want to move to Toronto just so I can eat here every day.

The service was fine and the atmosphere was good for talking, however the fake meats were all either way too chewy or completely soft. I am a meat eater but I love vegan restaurants because I find them usually very inventive without pretending to have meat. I think this would be great for vegans who want to eat unhealthy but... We've eaten here several times and never disappointed. The buffalo wings are out of this world! On this visit we started with the chili cheese fries. I had a tofu salad & the wife had pulled pork sandwich for the meal. For dessert we had deep fried Oreo's! By no means healthy, but great comfort food without hurting our animal... More

I think this restaurant is an emperor-has-no-clothes kind of situation--people THINK they should like it, because it's vegan and hip and buzzy. But a lot of the dishes--many of them deep-fried and carb-heavy--just taste a bit bland, and some flavours are downright off. I get the idea, that it's supposed to be fun, not-too-serious comfort food with vegan ingredients, but... More

Looked forward to visiting on our vacation, and we weren't dissappointed. Amazing burgers, perfect vegan buffalo wings and ranch sauce, helpful and friendly staff - great recommendation on the GLB Cannuck IPA beer. Highly recommend this place!

Staying in West End

Neighborhood Profile
West End
The go-to area for new business start-ups, the spry and creative persona of the West End thrives along its streets. Its independent boutiques, galleries, restaurants, and shops offer brands that can't be found elsewhere. Buildings with ground floor consumer spaces sport up-top artist's lofts, and the West End attracts artists, designers, and fashion industry professionals to its living quarters. It is in the cross-hairs of gentrification, but still resisting it with ironic relish. Hot deals can still be found here on furniture and knick-knacks,. Its call to culinary glory is in its well-priced homemade Polish food, hosting Toronto's go-to spots for hot pierogis and cold borscht. High Park, the largest green space in the city, is a place for dreamers and poets to wander and rest, not to mention a number of energetic actors staging outdoor plays in the summertime.
