This is a super cute place especially in the summer. I love the decor. Food was good. I had a roasted turkey sandwich that had a lot of flavour. A little slow if you are looking for something quick - but not too slow to make you angry. The service is almost a little too casual and I'm not sure... More

I've heard fantastic things about this restaurant but after my experience yesterday I am reluctant to ever recommend or go back again. Upon arriving we waited for 15 minutes without anyone even acknowledging our existence. I finally had to call the hostess over and tell her we had a reservation. She then made us wait another 10 minutes to sit... More

Went for brunch and tried a burger which I'd say was pretty good. Its a small, cute little place. There wasn't anything special about it that would bring me back though. If you're in the area and stumble on it, try it out.

The location is great and the style is nice...modern but comfortable. Service was okay but nothing special. Food was average. My friend's burger (meat patty) was so slanted you could ski off it...1 inch on one side and 3 inch on the other. I had the warm lentil salad and it was mediocre. Not terrible but I wouldn't repeat.

Had a wonderful meal with a friend during a conference in town. The seating was super relaxed on a lounge like chair on a terrace. They have a good variety of food choices including pasta, burgers, and numerous other choices. Menu is well presented and offering an array of interesting choices. Started with a great house cocktail, a nice house... More

Sunday Brunch during the summer. Was good, but had a condensed menu. Seating was awful, not comfortable. Plastic Chairs. Food and service was good, would have like to see more.

Happen to be in the area and asked for a recommendation... Wish Café was our destination. Our first impression was great... white walls comfy seating with white and green floral accessories. Don't be in a rush, the service was very slow... it was Summerlicious and the menu looked great and reasonably priced. My friend ordered the potato leek soup, rather... More

Well worth the visit. Ambiance is great and the outside seating area is small but beautifully done, you forget you're on the street. The menu is interesting. The music is a touch on the loud side but all in all it's a great place.

Met up with friends for brunch before going to a matinee performance at The Panasonic Theatre. We had reservations and they tried to seat 3 people by the bathroom with a pole in the middle. Not cool. We did end up being moved to a table on the patio which was very pleasant. Lucky for us it was only 3... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
