Sunday Brunch during the summer. Was good, but had a condensed menu. Seating was awful, not comfortable. Plastic Chairs. Food and service was good, would have like to see more.

Happen to be in the area and asked for a recommendation... Wish Café was our destination. Our first impression was great... white walls comfy seating with white and green floral accessories. Don't be in a rush, the service was very slow... it was Summerlicious and the menu looked great and reasonably priced. My friend ordered the potato leek soup, rather... More

Well worth the visit. Ambiance is great and the outside seating area is small but beautifully done, you forget you're on the street. The menu is interesting. The music is a touch on the loud side but all in all it's a great place.

Met up with friends for brunch before going to a matinee performance at The Panasonic Theatre. We had reservations and they tried to seat 3 people by the bathroom with a pole in the middle. Not cool. We did end up being moved to a table on the patio which was very pleasant. Lucky for us it was only 3... More

The food was so-so. I had the French toast and my friends had the smashed avocado on rye plus a number of sides. The eggs were cold, and the portions seemed off.Our server didn't seem like he was in the mood and the place as a whole wasn't welcoming. No regular coffee, only espresso-based coffee drinks and it took them... More

Enter into the very pretty space which is Wish and every day feels like spring. I "wish" were had sat on the patio as the only thing that somewhat darkened our lunch was the snotty patron at the table beside us. The fish and chips was yummy and not something I often order as it can be so heavy however... More

Wish is an adorable little spot with great character. We went for an anniversary and had a good experience. The food was good, and in large portions, but neither of us loved our meal. The service was mediocre and we don't plan to return.

We were a table of 2 inside the glass enclosed patio. Tables are very tight and close together so there is not any privacy. It was not busy on the Thursday night we were there. Service was average and should have been better. The fresh bread and hummus served after ordering was really soft and tasty. The daily soup was... More

We opted at trying Wish as it was close to where I was staying while in Toronto. Had heard so many great things about this place. It was a chilly winter night but we opted to sit on their heated enclosed patio. The space was bright, airy and quaint. The food was good as well as the service... ok so... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
